I stayed at iCheck Inn Chill Patong for three nights in a room with a queen bed, and unfortunately, my stay was not as comfortable as I had hoped.
The bed itself was extremely firm — it honestly felt like sleeping on bricks, which made it difficult to get a good night’s rest. I requested a room change, and while the staff were understanding and leaned towards accommodating the request, there were no available rooms left, so I had to remain in the same room.
The air conditioning also did not function properly, and the room was noticeably dusty, which added to the discomfort. On top of that, my room was located on a level without elevator access, and unlike the rooms on the lower floors, mine did not have a telephone. While not having a phone is not a major issue on its own, the added inconvenience of needing to walk down each time I needed assistance made me feel that providing a phone on this level would have been a thoughtful touch.
Despite these challenges, I do want to highlight that the staff were friendly and genuinely tried to assist where they could. With some improvements to the room quality and facilities, I believe this hotel could offer a much more pleasant experience for future guests.
