Seaside Cottages and Restaurant

Wonderful food a few steps away from the Le Meridien Mia Khao. Authentic local family restaurant with seafood done perfectly. Well worth the stroll up the beach. Relax on the beach and enjoy some great food. The Sea Bass were awesome, the king prawns melted in our mouths and we wish had found the restaurant earlier in our trip.

Пять лет назад, в докоронаистерийную эпоху, это был один из двух ресторанчиков на береговой полосе поблизости от D-Varee и Holiday Inn (сейчас Le Meridien) + было еще пять перед входом в Holiday Inn. Тогда это был самый скромный ресторанчик в плане меню. Сейчас он остался один на три отеля (+ Melia). За пять лет заметные изменения в лучшую сторону. Ассортимент в меню увеличился в разы, качество и вкус еды прекрасные, готовят быстро, персонал приветливый. Из минусов - разве что не очень холодное пиво. Цены за пять лет чуть-чуть подросли, но все равно они гораздо ниже, чем в Melia и Le Meridien. В D-Varee цены на питание сравнимы, но гораздо более скромное меню. Даже удивительно, что сюда ходили только из D-Varee и Melia, и ни разу не видел отдыхающих из Le Meridien. Неужели все они ездили в поселок или ели за тройную цену у себя в отеле?

مطعم على الشاطيء في مكان هاديء بعيد عن صخب المدينة وتحيط به الاشجار الكبيرة اغلب الزيائن في اعتقادي هم من سكان الفندق الملاصق الشيف ممتاز .. و المالكة لطيفة .. والعاملين مهذبين وكوميديين انا لا آكل الخنزير وقد وجدت يدائل كثيرة هناك طعام بحري وخضراوات وعصائر طبيعية وأرز الاسعار منطقية .. و الاكيد انها ارخص من الفندق المكان نظيف وكذلك الاطباق والطاولات سأكرر الزيارة

Wir haben direkt nebenan im Melia Hotel gewohnt. Aber sind am Abend und auch für den kleinen Snack zwischendurch gerne und häufig im Seaside Restaurant gewesen. Das ist unbedingt empfehlenswert, gutes Thaifood, vernünftige Preise. Etwa ein Drittel von den Hotelpreisen. Eine sehr nette Familie betreibt diesen angenehmen Ort. Unbedingt auch mal eine frische und gekühlte Cocosnuss bestellen. Kleiner Tipp, nicht alles gleichzeitig bestellen, sonst kommt auch alles gleichzeitig.

Initially we loved this place and opted to stay on for extra nights. Koy even helped us book our bus ticket to our onward stay. However, when we got on the bus, all the ticket attendants were surprised and laughed at us, as we had paid twice as much for the tickets. We felt foolish and couldn't understand why she would do this and it left a nasty taste in our mouths. They also had no wifi at all. After this, I would not go back again.

We came to the restaurant which is next door to the Melia hotel (where we were staying). We came at least 3 times and had excellent dinners, food consistently good and staff consistently friendly and nice. We had the fish, the squids, the shrimps and the soups were sooo delicious!
