Sea View Bungalow

The place is located on the steep hill on the outskirts of the village - to get there requires some physical prowess. The surroundings are iffy - lots of garbage strewn around, but at least you get to see how the locals live. We were promised that somebody would meet us at the pier - we could not find a person and had to walk 20 min to the place. On the positive side the owner was quite pleasant during our stay and was genuinely interested in our plans. The breakfast was good - stick to the fried rice or just plain eggs. The French toast was just a toast (nothing remotely French about it). You could hear the music emanating from the beach till the early morning (2-3 AM) but it was manageable. All in all, I would stay elsewhere if I were to recommend a place to stay.

Este alojamiento no se corresponde en nada con lo que se anuncia. Es una chabola en el vertedero de Phi Phi. Sucio, poco cuidado, inseguro (una niña de menos de un año cayó de una pasarela de metro y medio y no se golpeó con una piedra en la cara de milagro), mala cocina ("arroz frito" nefasto) y el peor trato del personal que he tenido nunca. Además, el peor ruido de la fiesta en toda la isla. Comentamos el primer día que no teníamos agua caliente, y la mujer que se ve en la foto se rió de nosotros y hacía burlas muy exageradas: "not hot shower". Estuvimos llamando al dueño para exigir un reembolso de las últimas noches (ya quen fue la solución que nos peopuso Booking), pero nunca nos atendió al teléfono. Muy lejos de preocuparse o comentarnos algo cuando nos vio la mañana siguiente, pasamos el resto de días que ni siquiera nos decía buenos días. Es la relación más surrealista que tuvimos nunca con nuestros hosts. De los 4 desayunos que teníamos, solo hicimos uno, ya que el arroz frito simplemente era un arroz blanco con zanahoria, tomate y piña frios, y un sabor muy desagradable. Mención también para Booking, que lejos de buscarnos una solución, nos dejaron tirados. Además, permite que establecimientos se anuncien con servicio de habitaciones y de los 4 días, no la hicieron ni una vez. Es decir, anuncian un timo.

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour la vue, l'emplacement isolé et un prix abordable. À l'arrivée, nous avons eu une vue superbe mais juste un banc sur le balcon pour en profiter. Mais elle se mérite au terme d'une montée bien raide d'une dizaine de minutes depuis le centre de Tonsaï. Les cabanes/chambres sont au milieu d'arbres bienvenus où des singes se sont baladés. Par contre, malgré l'isolement, nous avons totalement "profité" des soirées très bruyantes sur les plages en contre-bas jusqu'à 3h du matin... Ajoutez une faible insonorisation et des rideaux ne coupant pas la lumière et je conseillerais surtout cet hôtel à des jeunes. Chambre correcte pour le prix. Personnel faisant l'essentiel mais pas plus. À monter les bagages à l'hôtel à notre arrivée, ce qui était très bienvenu.

My partner and I stayed here for a few nights and loved it. Conveniently located outside of Ton Sai and the busy parts of the island, the owner and his family were super hospitable. The rooms were spacious, hot water was nice and the AC was gold. Overall, an enjoyable and affordable stay.
