Utterly stunning small boutique hotel where we stayed for four nights at the end of our four stop VietNam tour. It took us nearly three hours by private transfer from Saigon but it was so so worth it. We arrived at reception about 12.30 and they get you on their app quickly and efficiently, then off to your room. We had chosen to upgrade to a garden bungalow and it was special, spacious, fresh and so comfortable. Aircon perfect. There were two sinks, two showers together with a door outside next to the shower so you could genuinely feel like you were showing outside if you wanted. The room was excellent all round, the bed had mosquito nets that were put in place in the evening along with a chocolate on the bed. The nets gave you a feeling of being safe somehow, but we never saw any mosquitoes or had any problem whatsoever with them. It set a lovely romantic feel to the room. We were about 10 yards from the breakfast buffet area and 20 yards from the pool. The pool was beautiful, just right, the chairs surrounding extremely comfortable. The service around the pool , in fact, everywhere in this wonderful hotel was top class. Your pool towel appeared, set out on the bed, the bed moved for you, perfect, they couldn’t do enough for you. Maybe one small point was that it was a deliberately uneven surface round the pool which stopped you slipping it slightly uncomfortable on your feet. The view was stunning on to the beach. The kite surfers spectacular. You could have lunch overlooking the beach, fantastic view. The food is very very good, served superbly by the excellent staff. Lunch by the beach is a must, a little recommendation for the ribs, excellent and also the smoothies. It is more expensive in hotel, but the setting is so good we thought it worth every penny. We also paid for the individual dinner which we had in the library with personal service, cost about £25 extra, but was lovely and excellently served by Huong. In other months they can do it on the beach, but too windy in March. If you don’t want to eat in hotel or pay that price, step out of the hotel, there are options, some very good ones, notably Pirate bar nearly across the road and there are several restaurants where beer is very cheap , it means the hotel is in a really good spot. One piece of advice is to look at the timing of your airport transfer time when going home, Saigon is ridiculously busy, so allow a good 3 and a half hours to get there. Take a UK four gang extension with you for the one plug socket is so helpful too. Only thing left to say is to go and experience it, enjoy the fantastic setting and brilliant staff.
