We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel, and it really is mostly an excellent choice for a place to stay. The location is excellent, the hotel itself is very modern and clean, without losing some of its "historical charm". The rooms are designed nicely and the breakfast is excellent. the reason we would slightly knock it back a mark, is that we were travelling with our young daughter who sleeps in a cot. There unfortunately, seems to be different charges on cots booked though different booking systems. We booked with ******* and in the very fine small print it says, a cot is 20Euro a night! but on the same page it also says crib/cot bed available and mentions no cost (which is why we booked), on their own website it says a cot is free for under 4s, but otherwise its 15Euro for the entire stay. so we were unsure why we were being asked for 20Euro per night!. if travelling with young children maybe be aware of this. The cot is nothing different to any other hotel cot, we went to another hotel afterwards and were charged 5Euro for 2 nights for an almost identical cot, and at a cheaper hotel than this one. So this process seems a tad unnecessary from such a lovely hotel. Secondly, the owner seemed slightly unhappy and unapproachable with us to begin with and quite possibly due to cot email exchange. Its a shame as on the 2nd night we had a chat with her and she came totally differently and was engaging and charming and its a shame we did not see that side the whole time. all in all, the hotel is classy and feels like a boutique stay and I would definitely stay again if i/we were in the area.
