"I stayed here with a team for six nights and the place is dire. Plug sockets were all opposite the bed so charging your phone and keeping in touch is a pain. One socket was cracked and intermittent (poss HSE issue). Soap dispenser was broken so the soap was in a paper cup and so leaking out of the cups seams all over the sink area. Breakfast is in a 8" x 5" box (200ml of water a UHT mile and peel top cornflake packet, long life pastry and a cereal bar). I was told cleaning of the room would only take place after 6 days (coincidentally our stay time) and reception was rarely occupied so grabbing the breakfast box in the morning was not always possible. Upside was the sheets were a decent quality as were the towels and there was hot water in the bath/shower."

"I stayed here for four nights while travelling around by train with my dog. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the railway station. I found everything to be ideal for my needs and if you are travelling with a pet there is a beautiful park right across the road from the hotel. The city centre is a short walk over the bridge across the river, right outside the hotel. The location felt safe and welcoming - in fact Perth itself is a lovely place to stay overall. I chose a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the car park. This doesn't give a view like the rooms on the front but you should note that the hotel is situated on one of the main roads into Perth at a junction, so if you are sensitive to traffic noise you may wish to avoid one of those rooms. The windows are not double glazed. The room at the back was perfectly quiet. There is no lift to the upper floors and the stairs are quite steep but I was aware of this when booking and it wasn't an issue for me. I found the room to be perfectly clean and it had everything you would expect from a standard Travelodge. The reception staff were friendly and check in was easy. There is no air-con but the weather wasn't hot and I didn't find this to be an issue - in fact I generally find air-con more of a nuisance than a bonus so I'm quite happy to stay in hotels without it. The only slight issue I had was that the curtains in my room were not very thick and due to the dormer window shape didn't do a good job of keeping the light out but I managed with a t-shirt over my eyes. I had forgotten my eyemask. The hotel was quiet with no unnecessary noise from other guests although I sleep with earplugs anyway as I'm a light sleeper. I really enjoyed my stay here, it was a perfect base and I will definitely stay here again when in Perth. It is perhaps a little dated in comparison to some other Travelodges but not so much to detract in any way from being a nice hotel to stay in. If you want something fancy it may not be for you but as a good budget-friendly base it was ideal."

"We have been happy with the location, only that our room was downstairs and located right across from the toilets for the pub. It was very noisy. And you couldn't open the window, cause the window is towards the courtyard and there was a table right in front of the window and people who visit the pub can sit at tables in the courtyard. We would stay again but with a room upstairs 😉"
