"I recently stayed at the Woodlands Hotel in the Lake District, and I was very pleased with the experience. First of all, the breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options including fresh salmon, which was a nice touch. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, giving it a homely feel. The hotel is also in a convenient location, with a nearby bus stop that makes it easy to reach the main attractions in the Lake District. Overall, it’s a great value hotel with attentive service. Highly recommended!"

"Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny"

"The location and hygiene of this hotel is okay, except that the carpets don't seem to have been cleaned for a long time. I was most dissatisfied with a male waiter, his attitude was particularly bad, I suspect he was a ******, his attitude was really bad, I have stayed in so many places in the world in hotels and B&Bs, this male waiter's attitude was the worst, I entered the staff area is my fault, but I entered from the restaurant, there is no staff only to enter the prompts, the male waiter kicked me out like a dog, I felt I was insulted.The waiter shooed me out like a dog, I felt insulted, it seems that the quality of the British people really needs to be improved."

"Lovely stay, the guest house was spotless clean and right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. Would definitely recommend, we were greeted by the host on our arrival and given a leaflet of the most recommended restaurants in town."

"Hayley and Steve were fantastic hosts. The location and accommodation were both superb - as was the breakfast in the morning - so much choice and expertly cooked. We had a great stay at Jericho's - thanks again both for making us feel so welcome."

"1、酒店位置很好，走路去遊船碼頭也就10分鐘之內，附近餐廳非常多，食宿都很方便。房間很大，還有一個客廳，出乎意料，但客廳一側在床邊，旁邊就是街道，早晚有些吵，特別是英國車速一般都比較快，要略注意。早餐是提前準備的麪包酸奶麥片牛奶之類，有的在冰箱裏，有的在儲物櫃裏，不要有太大期待。 2、自駕過來的話，和前台要一張停車卡，每天3英鎊，無限停車，有好幾個位置可以停車，其實很方便。離開的時候，可以先去停車場開車，回來的時候把鑰匙和停車卡放前台就可以。"

"We loved our stay at the guest house. Kirsty was really friendly and made us feel at home. Breakfast was brilliant and the decor was cool. Excellent location! Lovely and warm but we could turn the radiators down if we wanted to. Great views across the fields. Would come back thanks for having us!"
