La Escondida Hotel

During my latest stay at this hotel, I was once again reminded of its exceptional qualities. The location, surrounded by majestic mountains, provided a stunning backdrop that never fails to awe. The staff, as always, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making every interaction a pleasant one. The swimming pool area remained a refreshing haven. What truly impressed me, just like in my previous visits, was the culinary experience. Despite the changes, the chef ensured that each meal was a delightful masterpiece. Even with food allergies, the chef took special care to create delectable dishes that my friend could safely enjoy. The hotel's continued commitment to being pet-friendly was a relief, as I could bring my furry in the future. It's worth noting that on my previous stays, the staff had been equally accommodating. From the warm hospitality to the impeccable service and attention to detail, this hotel consistently exceeds expectations. It's no surprise that I once again left with a sense of contentment and gratitude for the memorable experience.

I am the owner of this hotel. Our beautiful boutique hotel which my wonderful husband and I had worked on and loved for 5 years having spent 2 years renovating are heartbroken. We rented it in 2019 to a Max Porcuna and his partner Silvia Ortiz (Orts) and their friend Filipe Quelha the group was Singulars. They took it over and ruined it. They did not pay their rent and they ran the hotel into the ground and this year 2024 they went bankrupt. They would not leave the hotel eventhough they had eviction notices they were still advertising rooms on the booking sites and even rented it for 2 months to a film crew who trashed it. These people are disgusting how they ruin people lives and businesses and just walk away without taking any responsibility for the damage they have caused. I am now in the process of bringing the hotel back to how it was which is taking time so at the moment it is closed until further notice. I hope to return and reopen again in the near future. I am sorry for all the people who have been in contact with these terrible people. As you will see our reviews from 2014 up to early 2019 were fantastic but drastically declined from there which was sole destroying.

Por desgracia, una gran decepción. La piscina climatizada está cerrada, el restaurante también. Teníamos reservado y nos avisan 1 día antes de que esa cena gourmet no será posible realizarla. Gran inconveniente porque este precioso lugar está en la nada, apartado de todo. Si no llevas algo de comida, tienes un problema. Resulta que la cadena Singles está en quiebra y no pagan a sus trabajadores, ahí el motivo por el que no hay servicios y está todo muy dejado. La misma recepcionista que te da la bienvenida, te sirve un café a las 16:00 y te pone el desayuno. No hay trabajadores, ni de mantenimiento ni de restauración. A las 21:00 cierran el hotel y no hay nadie en recepción. Una verdadera decepción este alojamiento que parece ser tiene fecha de caducidad.
