Hotel and Villa B52 Gili Air

Choosing the one and only (Suite #1) at B52 was the best decision and made my Gili Air trip so comfortable and memorable! It really is a full apartment with western facilities and at such a great price compared to several places I've stayed before. Big bonus is the quietness of the suite while being close to the mosque and harbor. Noise was barely audible. The Aircon is very strong & fantastic to cool down after an active day under the sun. The suite ticked off the list from having a fridge, kettle, unlimited water, cutlery, hair dryer. Everything was in good condition. I particularly loved the LARGE shower head in the bathroom and the glass partition so it doesn't drench the bathroom with water. Water Pressure was perfect and also, the generous hot water + towels. My bedroom was extremely comfortable and enjoyed the king size bed. I had the best night sleep throughout my stay. Waking up in the morning to order from Kian Cafe next door for room service was a highlight. The breakfast arrived in just under 10 minutes and they have excellent coffee as well as matcha latte, cappuccino and all types of milk to add on (soy, oat, etc..) It was great to see that B52 collaborates with Kian and I have enjoyed the special offer (see photo) that fed me every other day. They can also bring the credit card machine to your room (just be aware that 3% is added fee). The swimming pool, bean bags, sun loungers, ample space to lay by the pool with my breakfast was the best wakeup slow call... What sold me initially was the location of B52 being right next to Juju, Barefoot Blondie, Siti Mart (main supermarket) & only 5 minutes walk from the port and 7 minute walk to Turtle Beach. I didn't need to order a horsecart at all and wonderful Mr. Jerremy (reservation manager) helped to bring his staff over to carry my suitcase on arrival at the Port. Jerremy and his B52 staff are super lovely, supportive, attentive, laid back and spot on with their cleaning and service. I could go on and I'll wrap it up to say - this suite is a hidden gem 💎 on Gili Air. So many pros to booking this suite under Jerremy's speedy customer service responses - always, with a big smile! Thank you so much for looking after me B52 team. I can't wait to return.

This is a great place to stay, for the price, it’s close to the harbour, down the main road within walking distance. It is good value for money. If you want a more resort style place with breakfast and room service and all the bells and whistles ,this is not the place for you. The rooms are basic but modern by Bali standards. They are clean , the air con works well, the bed is comfortable although quite firm. The shower pressure is pretty good, the towels are adequate (not fraying and thin). They also supply two big glass bottles of water every day, also coffee and tissues in the room and a kettle on request. The pool is just outside the rooms and so refreshing after a day exploring the island. The staff are fantastic nothing is to much trouble. This was my second time staying here. I stayed here for two weeks. The only negative is it can be noisy in high season. But most guests are generally quiet by 10 pm. Also be aware there is a mosque on the island and it is very loud with prayers at various times during the day and also around 4am. It will wake you up if you are a light sleeper. Places to eat: breakfast: Kopi su su and Barefoot Blondie both on the Main Street a five minute walk. Dinner and sunset: Mamas pizza is the go to place, go around 4 pm in high season to get a table on the beach . Want a massage, Zone spa is awesome a two minute walk down the main road.
