This is our third time in Lapland, we stayed twice in Ivalo, without kids, and our first time in RVN. Each time we stayed in Glass Igloo. By far, our experience with this hotel is the best. - Well-positioned and luxury-style Glass Igloo. - Great, always smiling staff, high-end customer service! - Good selection of activities. - Amazing location, quiet with tons of activity opportunities - Extra convenient for families with infants.

Just back from a 3 night stay in the Aurora Cabin. This has been one the best holidays ever. The romantic package was spot on, thoroughly enjoyed the many excursions, great attention to detail to ensure the best experience is had. The guides were really friendly and knowledgeable. All winter outer clothing provided and were good clean condition. Some lovely little extras like ample sleighs to transport your luggage/kids to and from. It really was the cutest little retreat. I would highly recommend!

Fin da subito lo staff della reception si è dimostrato gentile e super disponibile. Avevamo dimenticato degli effetti personali sul bus di una ditta esterna e si sono messi all’opera per risolvere il problema per noi… tutto risolto alla perfezione! Inoltre subito dopo sono riusciti a riservarci un’ora nella sauna tradizionale! Direi un ottimo inizio! La loro cordialità, simpatia e disponibilità poi l’abbiamo potuta constatare anche durante il resto del soggiorno! Struttura magnifica… ben organizzata in tutto, costi proporzionali all’offerta (la sauna e la jacuzzi sono una meraviglia), cena e colazione a buffet ottimi e gustosi, per finire una pulizia maniacale! Super super consigliato! Comodo anche spostarsi A/R da Rovaniemi grazie a bus privati o al loro servizio di navetta.

My friend and I visited the place just specifically for the sauna experience. Despite promoting the sauna here as a traditional one and having wood-heated sauna picture on the website and email, the sauna at the hotel is a regular one, or at least not a wood-heated one. We were solving this at the cash desk. The manager of the placed apologized and said that he'll take a look at information available on the website, as there had been different expectations on our side. Since the sauna was already booked and paid, we went for it. The sauna at this hotel is really new and beautiful. With everything that it offers, I felt like being in a 5 star hotel. There is also jacuzzi that belongs to the sauna experience, if you are interested in that. What I didn't like a bit is that time spent in bathroom, e.g. taking shower and drying hair after sauna, is included in reservation time. If you are a woman, or at least have long hair, it might take some time to dry your hair, etc. I wasn't managing time-wise and ended up leaving with wet hair. 1 hour felt very short for both sauna and my hair care routine. All in all, I would say that the sauna is worth the price if you know what you are going into, and you want exactly that.

From the welcoming check-in process right through to the ending check-out this resort hotel was an absolute delight. Such welcoming staff throughout from reception, bar staff and waiting staff to the guides and staff at the safari house, they were patient, informative and super helpful too. The food (included in the package we bought) was served buffet style and never failed to delight. The selection was very varied and it was all super tasty, fresh and delicious. We stayed in an Aurora cabin which was spotless and well appointed. Sleeping under the beautiful Finnish sky was a delight that we never tired of. We packed a lot into our three night stay - and the resort provided us with everything we needed clothing, footwear, headgear and equipment - all were of a very high quality and super efficient at keeping us warm and safe. Special mention has to go to Boty for our evening Aurora hunting expedition and our snowmobiling morning, he’s a delightful person to spend time with and we felt very safe in his expert guidance. Thanks also to Ari (sorry if not spelled correctly) who took us out on the evening heated sleigh experience - we could have sat listening to his tales of Sami life and its culture in that Cotta all night, he was entertaining and very informative, a true gentle man. Thanks to Marko for the photography tips and the heated sleigh experience - you were very kind, super helpful and clearly very knowledgeable. Lastly thanks to Dani and Mira for our first evening’s walk through the forest on snowshoes- what an event that was - AND we got to see the Aurora on that evening (as well as the following night) - truly magical and we felt very lucky that we got to see them. The only (extremely slight and hardly worth mentioning) points that the resort could improve on was perhaps a few more hooks in the cabins to hang towels or clothing up to dry, and perhaps invest in a more robust toaster because the very small four slice toaster at the buffet with only two slots working meant a queue building up for toast at breakfast time. I only mention these because the resort asks for all feedback so hope this is helpful :) We had the very best experience at this resort hotel and have recommended it to everyone we know who might like to experience life above the Arctic Circle because it was a magical trip made even better by the place we stayed and the people we met - a heartfelt and huge thank you.

Location incredibile immersa nella Taiga finlandese a circa 2h da Rovaniemi, lontano dai classici circuiti turistici, ma con qualche pecca. Camera Abbiamo soggiornato 4 giorni (direi durata ottimale) nell'Aurora suite che offre una vista spettacolare, spazio a sufficienza per bagagli e abbigliamento termico. C'è anche una piccola sauna appena sufficiente per due persone, ma assolutamente incredibile dopo una giornata passata all'aperto con -10°. Dormire sotto il cielo stellato e l'aurora non ha prezzo. Tuttavia dato che la struttura si propone come un hotel di alta fascia ci sono dei piccoli accorgimenti che potrebbero davvero fare la differenza. La pulizia lascia un po a desiderare, sul soffitto si vedono ragnatele e per avere la stanza rifatta è necessario richiederlo alla reception; non vengono forniti accappatoio, ciabattine da camera o balsamo che invece sarebbero fondamentali in una struttura del genere. Si potrebbe migliorare con poco. Abbigliamento termico Perfetto in tutto e per tutto, vi viene fornito all'arrivo e all'inizio di ogni attività se serve qualcosa in più. Da portare solo del buon intimo, pile e calzini. Ristorante Tutti i pasti sono a buffet quindi ovviamente non vi aspettate la qualità di uno stellato ma tutti il cibo servito è ottimo e vario, offrendo sempre carne pesce e una alternativa vegetariana. Se l'hotel è affollato il servizio rallenta e spesso i camerieri non sono molto attenti nel rifornire le pietanze, ma nel complesso l'esperienza è piacevole. Attività La bellezza di questo posto sta anche nel fatto che offre una grande varietà di escursioni: husky, motoslitte, renne, sci di fondo e pesca sul ghiaccio, tutte ben organizzate e divertenti rendono la giornata piacevole nell attesa che tramonti il sole per iniziare la ricerca dell aurora. Se prenotate un pacchetto avrete a disposizione in ogni momento ciaspole e attrezzatura per lo sci di fondo e un'intera foresta da esplorare con piste bellissime e ben tenute. Con una sola lezione potete fare poi una bella passeggiata in autonomia. Aurora Veniamo a quello che dovrebbe essere il punto forte del resort e che invece forse è il più carente. Si sa l'aurora è a fortuna, ma se il vostro scopo principale è vedere l'aurora boreale forse questo non è il posto giusto. Se siete fortunati (noi lo siamo stati) e il cielo è sereno potreste anche vederla dalla stanza o meglio ancora dal lago ghiacciato poco distante; l'hotel dispone di una app con alert che suona in qualsiasi momento laurora viene avvistata, consentendovi di vederla anche se state dormendo: infilate le tute, prendete la macchietta fotografica e andate sul lago! Purtroppo però le escursioni offerte dalla struttura non massimizzano affatto la possibilità di vederla perché si svolgono tutte nei dintorni e con tragitto fisso con sosta nella tenda fuoco e succo di frutti di bosco.
