"We did not read the reviews before, but in retrospect the latest ones are a true reflection of this place. The positives, it’s close to the town center, its pet friendly the pillows were remarkably comfortable. The negatives:- it’s scruffy, difficult to park close to it. It’s next to a night club so expect noise until 05:00 at the weekend. If you have reduced mobility there only access to the lobby are via a series of steps. The hotels photos are misleading, their main photo is of the town chateau! It’s now become my number 1 worst hotel I’ve stayed in!"

"Very quiet and well-located hotel. The rooms are spread throughout a large historic villa, but the comfort is there. The room and bathroom are spacious. The breakfast is decent. I was just surprised by the paid parking within the property."

Hotel le Bourbon Pau Centre

"The hotel was located on the square in the middle of Pau. The location was good. However, you can see that the building is quite old. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was small, the shower pressure was very weak, and there were almost no amenities. The people at the reception were nice. There was air conditioning. If the hotel were rebuilt in this location, it could be reborn as a 4-star hotel. It's a shame that it's so old."
