If you’re tall, mind your head! I’m 5’4” and bumped my head twice (on the ceiling!) The room itself was ok, tidy and clean. Be aware there’s no glass windows, only wooden shutters and once opened you could have a conversation with the diners across the street at normal speaking volume. Very little privacy. Sleeping is challenging at best so remember to bring earplugs. There’s quite a few cafes / restaurants close by which all offer variations on a theme. The staff are polite and helpful, speak good English and can sort most things. I, on the whole, would have better enjoyed my stay if it would have been a tad quieter, from the loud music which went on to midnight and local teenagers shouting. Fellow guests shouting to get in late at night. If you’re looking for a relaxing experience then give this place a wide berth.

Very nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Great location right off the Durbar Square. Patan is lively but calmer than Thamel. Very quiet after 9:00 PM. Could hear street noise from 4:30 am on but it's typical for the area. Comfortable beds. Some rooms have small balconies. I would stay again next time I'm in Kathmandu.

This quaint hotel is located barely a block away from Patan's Durbar Square. I stayed there for 3 nights while I was in Kathmandu for work. The rooms are atmospheric and full of ambiance, which is what I sought. There was a selection of Nepali or Contentinental breakfast included in my rate; I went with Nepali the whole time and really enjoyed it. The owner was incredibly kind and gave me my choice from several of the rooms. He was also very responsive via WhatsApp to any question I had regarding the city, making it easy for me to navigate. The hotel is also connected to rooftop restaurant overlooking the square, and being a guest at the hotel entitled me to a discount on my food, which I took advantage of my first night. Lovely entrée to the visit! While I immensely enjoyed my stay and would happily go back, a few items to note for other travelers: 1. I had excellent internet in my room, but the room was not "designed" for business travelers - no desk; I did work from my bed. This was not a problem for me and most business travelers would stay at a different kind of hotel. Plus, a feature of being in this area is that there are a lot of fun cafés around, so why would you spend much time working from your room (during the day)? 2. The bathroom shower had hot water, but the shower ran for a long time before the water became hot. I mention this again just to help people manage expectations. 3. My particular room was on the first floor, so there was some street noise. There was only one night when I noticed it, however, and it did not last very long. There were other rooms more removed from the street, so this could have been avoided if it was something I was concerned about. 4. My particular room had a lower ceiling. I'm 5'5 and it was ok for me (and part of the overall charm). Taller people might not enjoy - but there were other rooms available with higher ceilings (so if you're tall, it might be something to mention when you make the booking). All in all, I had a wonderful stay and got exactly what I wanted! I would happily stay there again and hope I have the opportunity to do so!

Posizione centralissima. Colazione nella media.

We had a very short one night stay in this hotel, but it really did an impression on us. This hotel is ancient compared to where we stayed in Nepal before. The historical atmosphere of this place is definitely worth the money. The traditional architecture, furniture, in room amenities are very rare in hotels. No elevators, but the staff will carry your luggage up the stairs. We really enjoyed it. The reception staff was very helpful, everything was well organised. If you stay in Patan area, I really recommend this place. One more thanks to Rajesh for his big help during our stay.

Desayuno delicioso, y trato excepcional. El personal es amabilísimo.

Great spot in Patan for a quick stay. The staff was more than helpful and attentive. Beautiful interior. Steps to Durbar Square. They also own a restaurant which was great as well. The inn is located on an alley off of another alley. If you have big luggage it’s a bit of a challenge but not too bad

Due to raodworks in the hotel’s vincinity the receptionist instructed our taxi driver, and came to fetch us from a short distance. We felt very well looked after. Our room had little natural light and low ceilings due to traditional build. Warm water was available at times. Overall, we thought the hotel decor was unique to Nepal. Decent value for money. During nights all the doors to enter the hotel are locked, and we got messages from staff asking about our schedules etc. Breakfast cotained eggs cooked in your preferred manner, toast, fruits, juice, and coffee or tea.

What an absolute gem! This is a small locally owned guesthouse consisting of 14 rooms. It’s built in the Newar style with brick, plaster walls, and lots of carved wood and beautiful wooden windows. Perfectly situated right off the Durbar Square, it is absolutely central to all the wonders of Patan. As a solo woman, I felt incredibly safe, the staff here are all very kind and checked in with me to see if I needed anything throughout my stay. Breakfast was good, just enough to start my day! The bed was comfortable, not hard, but not too soft. Linens and everything were spotless. my room was quite large, two single beds were put together to make a large one and then there is a large sitting area as well. There is no AC but a fan is provided and that was perfect. Like pretty much every place else, there is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow but that is all keeping with the historical elements of the building.

Sehr viel Liebe steckt in diesem Hotel.
