We stayed in this hotel for 2 days in paro. At an uber level the hotel seemed good. It was near to the main market area, and the rooms were good. But the exhaust fan in our washroom was not working. We complained about the same to the hotel staff, they came to check, but unfortunately due to unavailability of electrician they couldn’t fix it. We decided to adjust with the same, despite it being unhygienic. On the 2nd while checking out we handed over the key, the staff didn’t go to check the room and we left from there. After an hour , they called our guide, and started asking for compensation for damage in hotel property of Rs 750, because they found lipstick strains in the towel. These can be easily washable and hence should not be considered as property damage. On top of that, they should have checked the rooms, before completing the checkout process. They were not agreeing, and we had to give the money via our guide, else she could have got harassed. Also this incident, makes their hygiene maintenance really questionable. If they expect the towels to look clean after guests checkout, it’s highly doubtful, if they are at all cleaning the used staffs. From my experience, will not recommend guests to choose this hotel from hygiene perspective based on my above mentioned experience.
