Embrace Hotel & Apartments

The “well text you the code”, is kinda … when you travel with a foreign number and don’t know what to expect in this regard. The property was clean. Room very comfortable. The bathroom tiny. Washing my face was a challenge. Water all over the floor. Overall, it’s a great place. Close to the beach, in a walkable distance to the center of the city, Has free parking for a few cars. And I have to say that their lock system is actually very innovative.

In our original room air conditioning didn't work, but we got bigger room with working air conditioning for the next two nights. Overall it was nice place to stay. Recommend renting bicycles, if you plan to stay longer as the place is not located so near to city center.

Booked a room with sauna, unfortunately half the trip i spent with no electric and no sauna. No workers onsite so couldnt even complain or get any sort of refund.

Poor service and instructions

Overall the guesthouse was a positive experience. The room we had (Marquina) was light and breezy and overall clean. The accommodation sits in a pretty and quiet residential area and is an easy 7 minute walk to the beach and indoor waterpark but a 20 minute walk to the centre of Pärnu. This can be quite inconvenient when wanting to head out for dinner or go where the "action" is. There are however plenty of electric scooters around town and in the suburbs and if you have internet access on your phone to pay this would be an easy and convenient way to get around. We booked on *********** which states that the property features a minbar which we always use to store food/drinks but found on arrival the room itself does not have a fridge but the communal dining room (which is nice and cosy) does have a large, very clean glass door fridge with a storage tray for each room (a little like a hostel but no issue and happy to use this). There is also complimentary drinking water which was great and comes out as natural or mineral. There is also a coffee machine which charges 1 Euro for coffee, boiling water from the machine is free as well as tea and sugar. Depending on guests, the accomodation is quiet most of the time but we had a group stay on the floor above for one night and heard stomping until 1am. This is of course not the fault of the guesthouse. There is no key access so you will get a code and use this for the duration. The keypad is quite loud so when used for neighbouring rooms it does sound like someone is trying to enter your room which we found quite funny once we realised this was not the case and was no problem. A couple of constructive points are the that the bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen. It was clean but so tiny that sink is only big enough to wash your hands and there is an obstruction at every angle of the tiny space, be it a wall, shelf, towel, sink. The fold out bed for our son was in poor condition, not very clean, hard and broken at the tail end so hanging down. Lucky he is only little so this didn't bother him too much but if it was a taller person it would not make for a comfortable sleep. The couple of staff members that came in and out of the property were helpful and friendly to questions and requests.
