Liian kaukana vanhasta kaupungista, mutta on erittäin helppo mennä vanhaan kaupungiin bussilla ja nauttia Lapadin sijainti. Olimme onnellisia ja miellyttävä tässä hotellissa huolimatta off-season.

The pros: I arrived 2 hours earlier and was thankful that concierge checked me in immediately. The view from my room was wonderful and the breakfast variety was fine though the same menu was served daily throughout my 4 night stay. The vicinity of Lapad is not near to the old town, but I specifically selected the area/hotel to be away from crowds and large tour groups, so I’m happy with it. The area is beautiful, with plenty of rock coves for walks and exploration. The cons: Mirror to the cupboard was cracked and plastered over with aluminium tape, design of the room is definitely dated, carpets are a little stained though these are not important to me. As a solo female Asian traveller, I do observe that older staff, male especially, communicate with some sense of superiority towards me, in comparison to western guests. In other words, I do not feel welcome. That applies to Dubrovnik in general, while in Zagreb, service staff are much friendlier.

My husband and I overall had a decent experience, but there were a few aspects that could be improved, especially regarding room cleanliness and drinking water provisions. The room itself had potential but was not as clean as expected. Surfaces were dusty, and the bathroom showed signs of inadequate cleaning, particularly around the sink and shower area. A little more attention to detail in housekeeping would make a significant difference to the guest experience. On a positive note, I appreciated the hotel’s environmentally conscious initiative of offering complimentary drinking water in recycled glass bottles instead of plastic. It’s a thoughtful and sustainable idea. However, the water provided did not appear clean or safe to drink, which left me no choice but to purchase bottled water from a nearby supermarket. It would be beneficial if the hotel could ensure the water quality meets hygiene standards or consider offering filtered water stations for guests. With some improvements in cleanliness and the drinking water situation, the stay could be much more enjoyable.

Etäisyys lentokentälle on 45 min ajomatka maksaa noin 45 euroa. Hotelli tarjoaa bussikuljetuksen vanhaankaupunkiin (8 euroa per henkilö yhteen suuntaan) ja taksipalvelut lentokentälle (60 euroa). Kuljettajat ovat erittäin kohteliaita. Hinta on kohtuullinen. Hotellin henkilökunta on yleensä erittäin mukavaa. Puutteina ovat lounas/illallisravintolat. Kokeillut melkein kaikkia ravintoloita ja ainoa hyvä on Veranda, mutta hinta on korkein. Kaikkien ravintoloiden hinnat ovat melko korkeat. Ei hotelli maksut korkeat, mutta yleensä Dubrovnikin alueen ravintoloiden hinnat ovat korkealla alueella. Pehmeitä hiekkarantoja ei ole. Very nice resort with plenty of sun loungers, pools and access for sea swimming. Good restaurants with lovely food and the service was good. It's about 5km from Dubrovnik old town so you can easily walk or get a taxi. I would recommend staying here. I will definitely return.

This was a beautiful hotel will nice art work and historic charm. The staff was very kind and gave us good recommendations for our meals. The pool is very big and well surrounded by gardens and a nice hotel bar. It’s a bit further than we though from the old city , we had to take a taxi in/out for a fixed price of 20 euro (so 40 back and forth) but it was nice to come back to Lapad after long hot days visiting the old town and swimming in the sea.

This is a really nice budget hotel, located in Lapad, away from the hustle & bustle of the old town, and close to the beach. We had a large room with an extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a terrace/balcony. I thought it was a great idea to have clothes drying racks on the balconies, perfect for your beach towels & swimsuits. We had the breakfast, and it was pretty much the same every day. But even for us vegans, we could get something nice to eat. And for people with no dietary restrictions, there is even more choice. Our shower was faulty, which we reported to staff on our first morning. As it was the weekend, they advised that it probably wouldn't be fixed immediately, but by Tuesday we had a brand new shower head (the shower was usable, just faulty - we didn't have to exist without a shower!) The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and gave good tips about the beaches and surrounding area. There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel, where you can catch Bus 6 to the old town. The buses are small and very busy (September) and the cost is 2.50 euro one way. We did also buy tickets in advance from the kiosk in the town, where they are a little cheaper (1.70). And I must admit, we walked to the old town on several occasions. 30 minute walk, but with beautiful views. The beaches close by are lovely. There is a great walking path along the coast, and at some spots you can walk down stone steps to small seating areas, where you can also jump into the ocean and swim. We did this instead of going to the pebble beaches and hiring sun loungers. Overall, this was a really nice hotel, perfect for what we wanted. It is not high end, glam or luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly.
