I booked as I have an early morning flight like many others who stay in this hotel (or those arriving late at night) Story: so I came to the hotel about one and a half hours early, around 1330-ish. The front desk staff said I can ”check in early” for £50. That's almost what I paid for the booking for a mere 90 min of stay. Point no 1. Point no 2. Context: I haven't read through the hotel policy prior. So I asked the front desk staff if I could leave my luggage there so that my wife and I plus our baby could go grab a bite in the town while waiting for 3 pm. The staff could have easily said no and I would have understood. No biggie. But then he said something ridiculous, that I can store my 3 pieces of luggage for £3 each as a donation for a children's hospital. Now if the hotel policy is no storage just said so, no need to try guilt trip customers into paying for something when it's clearly your KPI to achieve, not mine. Stop deceiving and guilt tripping costumers."

The staff member said it was because they were **overbooked**. **She didn’t apologize and even seemed to blame me, saying I should have asked when I got the key.** She also claimed no other rooms were available at that moment. I explained that when we took a shower in the disabled-access bathroom, **the water didn’t drain properly**—maybe something was clogged. This made it **dangerous because slipping was a real risk**. After listening, she called back **a minute later**, saying a room was now available and that I could come to the front desk to switch. I felt **very disappointed** with the service and will **never return** Also the kettle was very dirty."
