Pros: Amazing location close to Shajiabang. Serene and calming environment. Very fashionable  facilities that are spotless. Very good food. The takeout robots are awesome and when they are over-capacity, the front desk brings you the food Friendly and attentive staff  The fancy hairdryer and the warmed toilet seat was amazing. Shower pressure was impeccable  (but you take these things for granted at 4 star hotels...) TV software is very good, and you can easily stream stuff Cons: No English Signs / No communication with staff. Translation app helps a bit , but there were some misunderstandings and a difficulty to find the hotel lobby as there was no clear signage. Very good intentions though from staff, and you can't expect everyone to speak English. But having at least one person speaking English, as well as having billingual signs everywhere are important to ensuring that foreign guests feel more comfortable without having to always reach for their phone Different understanding of privacy: the housekeeping always knocked despite having Do Not Disturb on. I had to be mindful of them, which kinda stressed me.  2nd floor lake view feels exposed. My room was facing a public walking path into the reserve, and although not much traffic was happening, people could see me. Ideally the windows can be tinted to prevent this. Wifi is slow and not able to meet needs. Limited at around 10 MBPS (without vpn) and always buffered, but was good for basic stuff Bad soundproofing. You can hear what is happening in your neighbors  Constant alarm sound from the door latch. If you open your door while having it on, it makes a very loud alarm sound that is good because it deters crime, but it's annoying to hear it on accident while other people have the same issue. at lots of times Weird floor plans. at 2nd floor where the rooms are, you can get lost very easily. same at first floor which I accidentally went into the restaurant. Smell of smoke coming when AC is off from other rooms. perhaps more smoke detectors can be placed to deter this while fining violators, as well as isolating the AC system per room a bit more...

Nice serene area. Hotel is well maintained. Aircon is not switched on all the time as the weather now is hot and cold (temperature can vary drastically). Room becomes a little stuffy as there is no circulation in the room. Will recommend this hotel though!!! friendly staff :)

Quite a rustic setting with a good ambience. Close to the lake with boat rides, canoes, rafting and mini theme park. Camp site with bbq, table tennis and pool table. Breakfast at hotel quite diverse. Very pet friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are very luxurious. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and courteous. We especially appreciate Rambo He the concierge downstairs helping us call a cab and loaning umbrellas. The staff at breakfast were very accommodating as we were traveling with a toddler. Our hostess Anki Zhang provided a bib for our baby, Cora Gan helped us refill our water, and Daryl Wang at the dim sum station helped us with all the delicious food options.

I just came out of the bar, and it's only a few hundred meters' walk to this hotel. The location is fantastic! Overall, it's pretty good in other aspects too. The cleanliness is quite good, and the attitude of the front desk staff is very nice. I like the smiley service here.

This hotel has a fabulous location, situated in Changshu downtown area and steps away from restaurants and shopping marts. it is also very close to major tourist sites along the Yu Mountain. The hotel has a decent gym, a swimming pool, and a nice inhouse restaurant. The hotel breakfast has many choices and the quality is good too. The whole staff team is very professional and friendly.

The hotel is a very nice, charming complex comprising a renovated ancient house, making it an unusual place to stay. The location is unexpected: tucked behind some regular buildings. Inside it is very pretty and nicely designed and the room has nice amenities. Things I noticed that were slightly negative: the floor in the room was not very clean; the breakfast is pretty and nice done but still, is simply a fancy zhou and they couldn’t make me a coffee; there is very little noise isolation so we were woken up by noisy families at 8am when we were trying to lie-in. Overall I would recommend it for sure but a clean floor and slightly cheaper nightly price would help a lot.
