Pousada Morro do Forte

Wonderful Pousada. Lovely location - views spectacular. Breakfast excellent and lovely afternoon cake and coffee. All the staff were lovely too - helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our top floor rooms (1 and 2) with balconies and hammocks. And the location is good - offers more peace and quiet than the centre but only a quick walk in to the old town. And very close to the local beach - just down the hill.

primeiro vou falar as qualidades: simpatia, educação e presteza da equipe (todos), café da manhã maravilhoso, vista deslumbrante e apesar de ser bem simples, muito aconchegante! pontos negativos: chuveiro muito ruim, o pessoal da limpeza não recolhia garrafas vazias em cima do frigobar e nem lavava os copos, um cheirinho de mofo no quarto. Gostaria de deixar claro, que são críticas construtivas, pois se melhorarem esses pontos, a pousada só ganharia com isso!

I think the main reason I liked my stay here is the room. We had the only "detatched" room, which is literally by the pool, but with a more private entrance and with a very own little patio, overlooking the beautiful nature around Paraty. I'm sure the other rooms are as nice, but this somehow felt it was the best. Great value, around £90 per night (non peak season). "Great value" only if you are £, Eur, or $ though, becuse it seems to be on the very expensive side for brazil (and maybe brazilians too). Regardless, this place and that room are worth every-single-penny. Breakfast is great and you'll get to have it in the main patio overlooking the bay, the pool is ok and it definitely works a treat when you come back from a day out or to relax in the morning when temperature are still not too hot. The staff is very kind and helpful. This place is a true paradise and IMHO don't think it can be topped up, at least in Paraty! 10-15 minutes walking (uphill on the way to the hotel) to town center. If you come by coach, then is like 30 mins walking from the coach station. If you have actual suitcases though, get a taxi (no uber in Paraty) becaus it can be quite of the trek with all the stoney roads.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The owner and staff are so friendly and informative. We booked a standard room with an ocean view and a hammock. The rooms are equipped with AC, they’re very clean and comfortable. The pousada has a pool and a lovely tranquil garden overlooking the city and ocean. They put out fresh fruit every morning during the breakfast and you can see birds and monkeys come up to eat as you’re enjoying breakfast and throughout the day. This was a peaceful and tranquil haven above the city but is close to all the main attractions, including the main beach, forte and old town. We would absolutely recommend this beautiful and charming pousada.

Pousada incrível!! Ganhei a hospedagem de presente, e fomos em lua de mel. Fiquei muito feliz com o presente, chegamos lá, tinha um mimo lindo no quarto preparado. Atendimento excelente! A dona da pousada, as meninas da recepção, os seguranças, limpeza, cozinha, café da manhã tudo impecável, fora a vista e o contato com a natureza que é maravilhosa 😍 Com certeza voltaremos, a pousada foi um verdadeiro refúgio de descanço e paz.

A wonderful stay in this beautiful pousada. A relaxing environment with wonderful views over Paraty. We enjoyed the breakfast and benefited from advice for activities to do in & around Paraty. Nicely situated as a retreat with easy access to town & local beaches.
