Grand Vista Hotel Parachute

性價比很不錯，沙發拉開是張床，裝修有點老，早餐非常簡單。高速路邊，位置不錯，也很安靜不吵鬧，路過住一晚沒大問題

This is one of my favorite hotels in the country with a couple exceptions. The place has a very warm feel, lightly scented lobby with horse pictures on the stone wall and nice sitting area. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. I liked that the pillows were 4 square pillows that were pretty good quality, and not the flimsy ones I have had recently at other places. The staff were super friendly and really worked to make the stay perfect. Nice swimming pool area, and it was clean. It did need anti foam, so I wonder if the rest of the chemicals are ok…. But being a GenX survivor, I figured I didn’t have any body parts fall off…. Must be good. I am on a corporate account, so they wave the parking fee. However be aware that they normally charge a parking fee. I always thought that was crappy and should be included in the room…. At least for the first vehicle if someone has more than one in their room. The biggest disappointment and the only huge issue is the food desert. I didn’t mind much, but really tweaked me wrong when I found out the motel breakfast is $15, and worse than most discount places. It was only turkey sausage, standard motel bulk eggs, little yogurt pack, and get this…. Not even fresh waffles. They were frozen with a toaster. (Toast them twice to get them warm). The other options in town are Wendy’s and McDonalds. In the evening you can get a dominos pizza. Dominos is very very good, and this one didn’t raise the bar any…. I wouldn’t bother with door dash either. I stopped at a dispensary, so was not going to drive (no I wasn’t real high from a gummy, but out of my home state was not taking any risk). PS. I was eating breakfast while typing…. Don’t even bother with the waffles.

While the rooms and hotel in general are well kept, that was the upside. They charge $14.00 for parking. I asked if they had security at night for the hotel or parking, and they said no. So I said what is the parking fee supposed to cover? The desk clerk said "I don't know, it's not my problem." Good attitude. The first desk clerk the night before didn't seem to like his job either, seemed overwhelmed by his computer, and first gave me the key to a room already occupied. When I returned with the key to advise him, instead of apologizing he asked if I was sure it was occupied. I replied that the clothes in the room and the unmade bed were a pretty good clue to me. Still no apology but gave me another room. There is no breakfast provided, except if you buy the buffet for $15.00. The only bright spot was the lady running the restaurant/pub in the evening who provided a good barbq brisket sandwich and good service. She was alone so was pretty busy, but was nice and did her job well. They should lose those crinkle cut fries though.

We reserved room, non-refundable, and were unpleasantly surprised to have a $14 parking fee added on to the room. This was ridiculous as the motel has a huge lot and is not in a congested area. The front desk woman on duty apologized for the parking fee, saying it was not her fault. I think she gets a lot of complaints! Further more, the cheap breakfast which is normally available for free in most motels was $15/person. The room was clean, but furnishings were very old and unpleasant. Obviously, this business is struggling, but they are not trying very hard for repeat customers.

We've been coming here for years. All of the sudden there is a $14 overnight parking fee. Supposedly for security. Didn't see one security officer. They charge an additional $14 for breakfast. The new frontier airlines of hotel chains. Will not ever come back. They say the fee is in on their website but if you're booking through any other site you don't have any notification until check in. Nice place but not that nice!!

Booked my stay through a travel portal. Arrived late at night with two young kids and my elderly mother. We got into the room fine after paying the ridiculous $14 parking. Found out our P-trap in the bathroom sink was leaking; couldn't use the sink at all. It was so frustrating because it was nearly 1am and I had to get my two small kids to sleep, we couldn't wash hands or brush teeth, etc. Told the front desk the next morning when we checked out and asked if they'd refund my room. They sent Kenny (maintenance) down to look at the room (RM 125) and he agreed and confirmed the issue and said yes, you should definitely ask for your money back. Well it's April 3rd and I've been calling the hotel numerous times (at least 5 now) and haven't gotten through to Vanessa who is supposed to be the one who can refund me. I've left numerous messages with the staff and voicemails, but no one returns my call. I just want my hotel room fee and $14 parking fee refunded! Why won't someone return my calls? So here I am leaving a review because I'm frustrated at this situation and lack of communication from them.

Grand Vista has deceptive pricing. I bought on Priceline and then was told at the front desk I needed to pay $14 for parking. The parking lot is mostly empty, outside, no parking attendant. AND this is parachute,CO! Not Denver. I did not know this when I bought on Priceline. I will never stay at this hotel again. They cheat their customers.

Stopped on the way before the pass. Was attracted by their reasonable rate for indoor pool, hot tub, fitness and large rooms. Reached the front desk to find out there was an extra $14 to park in a nearly empty lot. Yes somewhere in the fine print it said an extra $12. Just upsetting it was not included in the rate. I hate feeling ripped off. The 4 stars is because front desk, Michelle, was professional and accommodating. I might stay again, except I’d park on the street. Otherwise it was a great value for the rate.

This hotel looks nice and the room we got was accessible, but that's where my compliments end. We arrived on Monday night, so it was quite slow. The woman at the front desk took our information and did not return my husband's debit card, stating it was company policy to hold a card for incidentals. My husband thought it was a bit odd, but didn't argue. Well, the hotel charged us TWICE for our stay, so instead of paying the $320 that the room cost, we ended up paying $640, which completely wrecked our budget for our little trip. We are hard working people who don't have much, and we wanted to give our kids a summer vacation to remember. We did eventually get the money back but did not receive an apology from the hotel. Not only did they charge us twice but they LOST MY HUSBAND'S DEBIT CARD, so we had to cancel it and close the account. The manager wasn't even brave enough to come talk to us and instead sent the front desk receptionist to deal with the situation. All she did was shrug like it was somehow our fault they lost our card. I will never stay here again and i couldn't recommend strongly enough AGAINST this hotel. They even keep an inventory of how many towels you're using. Stingy, inconsiderate, irresponsible and unprofessional staff. There is no excuse for losing someone's debit card and double charging for a hotel room. Absolute trash. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET ROBBED. They charged us $40 for a regular continental breakfast and $12 a night for parking. The manager was too cowardly to come talk with us. This please is absolutely awful.
