Booked a 5 day stay with the family. We had 2 double rooms and a family room, we all paid the exact same price. The two other rooms were lovely with a very pleasant pool & garden view. Our room was basic (at best) and we looked out onto a rubbish tip and building site about 15ft from our balcony. It really was a complete mess. We arrived very late at night so decided to request a different room the next morning. The following morning I spoke to the lady in charge on reception. She said it was nothing to do with her as our agent (Jet2) did the room allocations. She let me know that the Jet2 rep would be in the hotel later that day and that I would need to speak to them. Indeed the rep did arrive and we had a chat. They immediately informed us that it was nothing to do with them and that the hotel deals with room allocations. Yep, you can see where this is going can’t you. I requested the rep come to the reception with me, which they reluctantly did. Both the receptionist and the rep tried to pass the buck onto each other. The receptionist said that if we wanted to move room we would need to pay an upgrade to have the same kind of room as the other members in our party. I told them that there was no upgrade fee needed as we all paid the exact same price for our rooms. She was very rude and dismissive. The Jet2 rep was no better. I could see that I was not going to get anywhere, with both of them blaming each other so I walked away. Later that afternoon we found a note slipped under our door from Jet2, offering us a room upgrade for €20/night. Why could they not understand that we all paid the exact same price for our rooms ! It was a fruitless exercise, they were just rude, dismissive and couldn’t care less. To add insult to injury, the air conditioning in our room stopped working. We reported it several times each day but nothing was done. We had to sleep with the window open which was not good. Our room was close to the staff smoking area and we were kept awake until all hours listening to them talking loud. Then early in the morning we were woken by the banging and hammering on the building site and rubbish tip outside of our window. The air conditioning was fixed on our last morning, however it broke down again 20 minutes later. The hotel itself was ok, clean and well laid out. The food wasn’t amazing but not bad either. Lunches were repetitive. The drinks were cheap imitations and full of artificial flavours but hey ho. This was our first experience of an all inclusive holiday …….. I’m yet to be convinced. However, it was great spending time with our dear family so that made up for a lot.
