Sofianna Resort & Spa

The room was a little outdated but the food really impressed us. It was always different and freshly made. It really impressed us. The staff was friendly and after some time, they recognized us. Even it was off season there was always entertainment in the evening and we could really stay at the property at night and enjoy our evening. It was very quiet in the evening even we had a pool view room facing the pool. We slept really we. What's also impressive is the clearness. It's really well maintained and daily cleaning service was also perfectly done. If you stay there, you have to do all inclusive. The food really makes everything perfect.

I have just been to this fantastic hotel with my sister and husband for 9 days. I am extremely impressed and would recommend this to anyone. George and Greta (the management) are hands on and make sure that the hotel is running efficiently on a daily basis. The entertainment crew are so much fun, great hotel, great people, can't recommend it enough.

On the plus side the room is clean and well maintained and the salads are very good. However, it's a big, impersonal hotel with a reception like an airport and a large atrium.I had a room overlooking the pool looking forward to a peaceful time reading on the balcony - forget that!There is loud music and very loud commentary which those sitting around the pool must like. It is audible in the room even with the patio door shut. To be fair it is not all the time but there seems to be no information as to what times to go out to avoid the noise. There are also some musical entertainments which are mostly announced on a notice board.The only quiet places are outside the main doors. In addition the local area is quite run down with half finished buildings, broken pavements and graffiti. It's much closer than expected to Bar Street although quite a number aren't open - presumably because it's still early April. The buffet restaurant gets busy and I tried the cooked food of which the worst so far was the Cypriot night, nowhere near as good as in traditional restaurants.

First time visiting Sofianna and we would love to return. Upon arrival staff were very friendly and were always happy to help. Found all staff to always say hello when serving you at the bar, in the restaurant or even just walking past you in the hotel. We arrived with a few couples who visit regularly to the hotel which must mean they are doing something right… and they are!! Bags were brought to our room by a lovely gentleman. Room was lovely and spacious and views of the sunset on an evening were amazing. Food was okay. We are slightly picky eaters so finding something for lunch and dinner was a bit hit and miss but even though we stayed all inclusive we did plan on eating out a few nights anyways. Breakfast was lovely!! Drinks were strong and tasty. Pool was very cold this time of year but if you were brave enough you could manage a few lengths (which we tried and swam as quickly as possible!!) Sunbeds were easy to get no matter the time of day, but I am not sure what it would be like in the summer. Easy 5-10minutes’ walk down to the harbour where they are lots of nice restaurants and is a lovely walk no matter the time of day! Supermarket just round the corner. Just a note, this is a ‘’no smoking hotel’. There are designated smoking areas in the hotel and my partner did hear from a few other guests that the hotel may charge you €20 if caught smoking in room/balcony/non smoking areas but not sure how true this may be as he stuck to smoking areas. Visited flairs bar one night which is just around the corner… They will convince you to go in with 2 for 1 drinks… and you may not remember leaving!! All in all, me and my partner spent a lovely relaxing week in the sun at the lovely Sofianna. Would love to return in the future!

Stayed for a week here, great hotel, the staff are amazing, so friendly, polite and tentative, they go above and beyond for you. Food was really good, I especially enjoyed selection of salads and desserts, but overall everything was to a good quality. The hotel is very clean, I see staff carry out quality checks everyday, making sure you have the perfect stay. (You'd never notice this unless you are a people watcher ha ha). The location is spot on; walking distance to the harbour and many of the main tourist sites in Paphos. The spa was amazing, I enjoyed a massage from Katerina, she got rid of all my knots, and the pressure was perfect. Also had a facial which was so relaxing. I left the spa feeling so light and refreshed.
