Basilica Holiday Resort

位置一流，出門口就是大型超級市場，海邊附近餐廳非常之多，唯一缺點沒有電梯，如果老人家住3樓比較辛苦！

Excellent location within easy walking distance of harbour, bars, restaurants, historical sights, and shopping mall. The room was adequate if a little small and dated. Staff were fantastic. Reception was brilliant on check-in. We had a couple of issues, but I didn't get to reception to report them because the maid saw me, walked me, and introduced me to the maintenance man. He picked up the bits he needed, and everything was fixed in about 15 minutes. Brilliant service. The only real complaint was we were in Harbour Suites and the heating and air conditioning are controlled centrally and as summer does start until May the heating was on even when outside temperature in high 20s. This meant we had to sleep with the balcony door open, and the boy racers / bikers would drive by with their sports exhausts backfiring as they went. Would we recommend the Basilica. Yes. But avoid a roadside studio in Harbour Suites during Spring, even if it does have sea views.

Was very bright & noisy outside at night - our maid took some money off the side which wasn’t meant for her - she came in & started cleaning before I had even departed & there were people living there closed season, one of them providing constant out of tune banjo playing & singing while we were round pool!! Other than that no complaints & the hotel receptionists were especially brilliant!!

Not an overall pleasant stay, rooms not as advertised by jet 2. Firstly the pros couldn’t fault the location, brilliant. Staff friendly. The cons the room hadn’t been used in a long time very dusty, self catering but no oven. The restaurant wasn’t open on our stay and definitely no entertainment. Hired a hire car but couldn’t manage to park it in hotel car park. Had to use the public one. Man on reception said had to ring to lift up barrier. But number didn’t work, and was a bit rude. Think they may be an issue with bugs in the room and bathroom area. My other half got bit terribly, myself didn’t but I wore jarmas in bed. Upon using the bathroom in the night we was greeted by lots of visitors which fled when the light was turned on. I wouldn’t return!!

The view from the property is great and it has some lovely amenities. The supermarket is just across the road, and has great products for gluten free and sugar free diets. The rooms are clean, and to make it even better they could update the design of the room so it feels a little more welcoming and the hallways too. I think the stove worked but I couldn't seem to work it. The room was a little cold in the mornings this time of year(nothing too painful) and I like to get a little warmth in the room, but the heater just blew lukewarm. Because Cyprus is generally hot I'm not sure how significant that point is.
