Continental Condominiums by Southern Vacation Rentals

Good Value Location is good and no complaints with the condo or condition of condo. I’d read a few negative comments prior to booking this unit but found none of the issues present. I think sometimes folks just have unrealistic expectations.

One roll of toilet paper and one trash bag for family of four for a week.

We booked this ground floor unit for the convenience of being able to walk out the back door to the beach or pool. We quickly realized that WE WOULD NOT have that particular convenience as it did not have the keyless entry as most of the other doors did. The door only had a deadbolt lock (without a key) which meant we had to deadbolt the door and let ourselves out the front door (garage area) and walk all the way around to the beach or pool. We immediately reported the issue to maintenance but it was never resolved while we stayed there. Also, you must cover the bedroom windows to darken unless you like the garage lighting coming in the windows while you sleep. Also, each year, Continental Condos/Resort Collection manages to provide less and less for guests. This year, no toilet paper, dish soap or garbage bags were provided. We were able to get clean towels daily but we had to keep the dirty towels in our room all week. :-( All in all, we made the best of the trip and had a very good time!

I would leave zero stars if I could. We rented this for 6 days and are still currently in this condo(room 210) unfortunately. I tried to find another room the night we got here but it being fall break, everything was full. This room is dirty and outdated! Nasty floors, dirty furniture and dried blood on bathroom doorway. 🤮Most definitely overpriced. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Excellent beach access. No frills but a comfortable place to end each day and get a good night’s sleep

We went through southern vacation rentals. The guest services were nice and did put in the effort to give us some compensation for the maintenance issues. The whole rental process of easy, and the lady at the desk was very nice when we got our parking pass. We stayed in 411 wednesday-Sunday. Parking wasn’t difficult. The exterior and grounds were kept clean. Unfortunately this unit was nothing like the photos, and the cleanliness was not what I would “good”. This unit needs serious updates and deep cleaning. The first night we were there we realized the sink in the kitchen was stopped up. I contacted guest services and they said that they would send someone out. No one showed up the entire time we were there. Having to wash out cups in the bathroom sink wasn’t ideal. The unit was very dusty and the pantry was dirty. The floors left your feet black. The bathtub is rusty and feels like it’s caving in if you stand in the middle. There are screws all in the bathroom walls, the outlets are coming loose, and there are places on the walls that have been patched and not painted. The vent has so much dust caked in it. They only give you 4 towels and two wash cloths for the entire trip, and one roll of toilet paper. There are stains on the lamp shade. The door to the balcony is sketchy. Don’t expect to use the beach chairs and service. They were rarely there and if they did put chairs out, they would put them up an hour later. The positives were the location, easy beach access, clean grounds, friendly staff, clean towels and sheets. The a/c was cold. I’m not one to leave negative reviews but I honestly will pay more to stay somewhere else. We usually stay At Tidewater. I don’t think I will ever stay here again. I may give the rental company a second chance at a different location, but I’m not sure if this is the quality they are okay with.
