We went through southern vacation rentals. The guest services were nice and did put in the effort to give us some compensation for the maintenance issues. The whole rental process of easy, and the lady at the desk was very nice when we got our parking pass. We stayed in 411 wednesday-Sunday. Parking wasn’t difficult. The exterior and grounds were kept clean. Unfortunately this unit was nothing like the photos, and the cleanliness was not what I would “good”. This unit needs serious updates and deep cleaning. The first night we were there we realized the sink in the kitchen was stopped up. I contacted guest services and they said that they would send someone out. No one showed up the entire time we were there. Having to wash out cups in the bathroom sink wasn’t ideal. The unit was very dusty and the pantry was dirty. The floors left your feet black. The bathtub is rusty and feels like it’s caving in if you stand in the middle. There are screws all in the bathroom walls, the outlets are coming loose, and there are places on the walls that have been patched and not painted. The vent has so much dust caked in it. They only give you 4 towels and two wash cloths for the entire trip, and one roll of toilet paper. There are stains on the lamp shade. The door to the balcony is sketchy. Don’t expect to use the beach chairs and service. They were rarely there and if they did put chairs out, they would put them up an hour later. The positives were the location, easy beach access, clean grounds, friendly staff, clean towels and sheets. The a/c was cold. I’m not one to leave negative reviews but I honestly will pay more to stay somewhere else. We usually stay At Tidewater. I don’t think I will ever stay here again. I may give the rental company a second chance at a different location, but I’m not sure if this is the quality they are okay with.
