Let me get the good things listed out first 1. location of the hotel 2. Staff attitude and flexibility Now the cons…
The hotel is definitely not worth ₹ per night. I feel the usp of the hotel is it’s biggest drawback. The old rustic look that makes it a heritage hotel demands a great deal of care and attention. While some of the furniture in the hotel common areas look good and well maintained, the same cannot be said about the furniture in the rooms. We had to change the room because the first room assigned to us had a very depressing vibe to it. It was dark and sort of felt damp. The room has warm lighting which doesn’t help the mood. The furniture seemed fragile and I was scared to even touch anything fearing that it may break. The balcony was facing into another house and clearly did not have a good view. I would not like to go into details of how the view was. After my wife called reception requesting them to change the room, the staff was kind enough to change the room. The new room also had the same issue with the furniture. The cupboard looked fragile. The chairs looked dirty and the overall feel of the room was not worth ₹. The lamps were not working. The breakfast was okay and the food at the restaurant seemed overpriced for the quality. Having stayed in much better hotels that charge ₹, this place seemed overpriced.
