Marriott's Aruba Ocean Club

For what I paid for one week it was a pretty good deal. A person sold his share for that week at $1200 The only drawback is the parking is very full and you have to hunt around for a space. Good thing that I did not drive. I was also told by the lounge chair police that it is not to be in front of beach and had to move it back by thirty feet. 20 min after I move my seat and thirty feet away from where I had my seat they started setting up dinner tables right on the beach and that tick me off.

It was our 22 or 23 stay at the Ocean Club;I lost count. Anyway we moved from a short stay at the hotel next door for a two week stay. At the front desk Shulaika, I think that is how she spells her name, made the move smooth and quickly. She also facilitated the move from the lockout to the main portion of the 2 bedroom unit seamless. We ate breakfast at the Malmok Pool bar and Grill numerous times during our stay. I want to thank both Leidy and Maria for making sure the bacon was cooked to our liking; crispy, crispy, crispy, .......crispy where it breaks not bends! Both are delightful people and we enjoyed seeing them when we ate there. We'd be remiss if we didn't mention Geoffrey and Erica who had many chats with duringour stay.

Ocean Cafe is the place to stop for a quick breakfast, snack or gelato. The staff is very nice and friendly. Want to acknowledge: Lulu, Thelma, Nora, and Luz especially. They are so nice whenever my wife and I stop for our morning coffee and pastries.

I have traveled the world over the past 40 years - and was excited at the opportunity to visit Aruba for the first time. Unfortunately it was the WORST vacation experience....EVER!! I can recount TWO (2) pleasant encounters over FIVE (5) days - both offered by the same team member - Ms. Nicole Tulloch (Malmok Bar & beach attendant). Nicole consistently demonstrated what I expected - each time I saw her - the Marriott experience (standard) what I have been accustomed to receiving where ever I travel - professional, friendly, and kind staff members. I expected a normal exchange of pleasantries with the hotel staff, but instead my husband and I were either completely ignored (staff at the Malmok Bar by the pool), or treated unacceptably rude by a beach attendant (photo below). The beach attendant - on our 3rd day - asked us what we wanted, where were we going - and we need a ticket for chairs! He grabbed a few chairs, threw them down aggressively, and walked away! Also, at the front desk while waiting our turn in line for assistance, a small petite older female staff member stepped/hurried in front of us with a hand full of receipts. The front desk attendant could only offer us his apology for her rude behavior! I still can't wrap my mind around the experience - a destination who relies heavily on tourism, right? It's unfortunate and sad that even a global pandemic that we survived wasn't enough to humble so many who work in hospitality! Fortunately because of my loyalty to Marriott in other geographies for so many years, I won't allow this horrible waste of time and financial resources to ruin the reputation of every other Marriott that knows, cares, and demonstrates how to treat EVERY guest! The only pleasant experience we had during our vacation was when we spent time at the Ritz Carlton down the beach. The Ritz confirmed that our negative experience(s) were isolated the the Marriott Vacation Club - not Aruba as a destination! We also returned home with a lot of cash because only Ms. Nicole deserved a tip! I hope that the leadership at this property understands and reiterates to every employee that they represent a personal & professional standard that must be upheld!

From the minute we walked in, the service was great. Valet, bellboys, conciere all on point. Sales team was informative and not pushy. Shulaika M. at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel at home and gave us info on everything going on. She made this a ***** 5 star stay. We will definitely be back in May of 25. Infact we are already booked.

Marriott's Aruba Ocean Club - The staff at this hotel were so welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay especially Josie from their Malmok Cafe. She's an amazing woman! Always with a smile and great service. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Will definitely go back!

Went with the Family and had a Really Great Time! The pool was beautiful as was the Beach. Some of the staff was not the friendliest...especially the towel hut( just rude) but my favorite person was Lois at the pool doing activities daily-he was so fun and has a Great Personality!! Also the Rooms were Awesome.

Ocean Club situated next to Surf Club is quieter and a better hotel for families with preteen or teenage kids. Surf Club was more crowded and much louder than Ocean Club. Hotel was extremely clean and staff went out of the way to assist us. Palapa reservation system is easy to use. Recommendation is if you don’t mind getting up early, use there online system to reserve the palapa day off as it costs $10 compared to $30. To get the palapas closest to the beach you have to sign on when reservations open at 7am. Also bring your own float(s) and anchors for the beach as the cost in Aruba is $28 compared to $13 at home.

While in Aruba we had the pleasure to meet with Ludwig C. at the Marriot Aruba Ocean Club. He and his team showed my wife and I vacation club options that will allow us to revisit Aruba or travel to other destinations. When in Aruba I recommend seeing Ludwig C. at the Marriott Stellaris hotel or the Marriott Ocean Club.
