Royal Palm Resort on the Beach

This accommodation was really disappointing. Even though the apartment has been recently refurbished it was filthy. Food on the floor in the lounge room, soiled doona covers, filthy cutlery and crockery that required a deep clean in the dishwasher before we could use it. The washing machine was mouldy and by the amount of dirt behind the beds, they have never been moved to be cleaned behind. This accomodation was not inexpensive and a much higher standard should have been delivered The main bedroom had only 2 coat hangers while the 2nd bedroom had none. The balcony chairs were mouldy and the glass balcony doors regularly came off their tracks. The ensuite bathroom shower door has no seal, so the bathroom floor was constantly wet and slippery. There were no teaspoons in the apartment, no frypan and only 1 wine glass. The lamp in the 2nd bedroom also did not work. The pool and its surrounds were good and the resort is an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. In all honesty I could not recommend this accommodation.

Loved - the large pool ( very kid friendly), the beach frontage fantastic views, the security( felt very safe) , walkable to food outlets, the fantastic kept grounds. Yes the apartments are a lil dated BUT if they were upgraded it will come with a higher price tag so happy with what we had. Comfy bed ( most importantly)

Easy checkin/out. Great swimming pool. Easy access to beautiful sandy beach. Amazing ocean view from room to enjoy sunrise/sunset. Overall great place to stay.

The grounds were beautiful. The pool was amazing. Reception were so lovely. The apartment was comfortable & homely. The beds were comfortable. The direct beach access was awesome. The views were unbeatable. Thank you Royal Palms.

Good older style apartments ( opened 1984). Apartment had been refurbished - vg. Great views, pool & walking distance to beach (2 min) & shops/ pub/ surf club (5 min) Underground Car park not the best. Road works on both major highway increase transit time (x2) to Surfer and points north. Hope finished when you visit.

Fantastic views right on beach, great swimming pool. Close to children's playground and not far from supermarket and cafe's.
