Ammon Garden Hotel

Basic hotel but clean and welcoming. Staff friendly and helpful. My only niggle was breakfast could have been a little more interesting and not the same everyday. But for the price paid can’t really grumble. Would stay there again. Getting to beach and front where there are quite a few restaurants and bars were all within walking distance. The upside of which is the hotel is fairly quiet. You must visit the old town ‘The Square’ some really good restaurants here. Again a fairly brisk 15 minute walk away. The beach can get quite busy but if you turn right at the bottom of Road towards the front and walk 10 to 15 minutes you can find quieter areas of beach but you won’t find any facilities here. However it is worth having a look

Absolute gem, we have just returned from a 10 day holiday this accomodation is lovely very Greek and oozing with character, I hope they never change this place the rooms are adequate and clean, the ladies who clean are lovely and do a great job, met the owners a couple of times they are friendly and helpful, Debbie and Joanna are very friendly and can not do enough for you location is fantastic walking distance to beach, bars restaurants and supermarkets, we loved it that much we booked again for next year while still there.

The maids and the older blonde receptionist with a fringe and glasses treated us horribly with absolute disrespect. Charging us for getting a small amount of oil on one towel after I used it to remove sea urchin spines from my foot (essential as they are VENOMOUS!) yet they claim this was a minor and insignificant injury- how invalidating and rude.. trying to claim we “covered multiple towels in oil”- they noticed we were young girls and tried to take advantage of that thinking we wouldn’t stand up for ourselves.. WRONG IM AFRAID. The only pleasant member of staff was the young woman who worked mornings, lovely woman it’s a shame the rest of the staff ruined it for her and speaks volumes that the older staff were the disgusting ones and the young one was lovely and kind. We also booked with Jet2 where it says you have wifi and a single cooking ring in the room which you have neither. They have tried denying this but look at the photo… caught out there! Think you should update your descriptions on Jet2 and stop lying to get more guests! Will never return- shame as it was a lovely location but the staff were so vile I could never EVER go back.

We booked a week holiday here through Jet 2. The pool is small however still enjoyable and it is a short walk away from the beach making it better. The staff here are anything but accommodating (apart from the younger girl, who we all felt went above and beyond), the older British lady behind reception was rude to us on several occasions. It became apparent that we were targeted for being a younger group of girls in which she patronised us and spoke to us rudely many times making us feel uncomfortable staying around the hotel in the day. After a medical emergency we asked reception to contact the local doctors which we were met with “it’s not that important, the doctor has bigger issues” by the man on reception. At the same time he gave us his own remedy to help solve the issue including using oil, whilst doing this maids interrupted us asking us to move so we had to dry the oil on the towels to move out for the maids. An hour later we saw the maid very angry shouting in Greek to the other hotel staff, we were told she was angry about the oil, we apologised and were told we wouldn’t be charged. The following day we woke up to a note underneath the door demanding to pay for the towel. In addition within our week stay towels were only refreshed 3 times and bedding once. And on several occasions we walked into the maids in our room rooting around in our suitcases resulting in us locking them every time we left the room The bathroom was small and impractical, there was also a hole in the roof directly above the shower making us uncomfortable. On Jet 2 it states that there is wifi in the room, whereas we were only allowed connection in the reception area. We were promised a single cooking ring, which we didn’t get. The air conditioning was poor and only targeted the area directly below the bed. The breakfast was the extreme let down of the hotel. Not even water was offered nor fruit. We decided to eat breakfast in the bakery up the road as it was better quality and more variety, which is disappointing since we paid extra to have access to breakfast in the hotel. Overall, the hotel would have been a pleasant experience if it wasn’t for the staff or the breakfast as our other complaints we were willing to let go until the staff started complaining about us. We will not be returning.

Πρώτα από όλα όταν μπενεις μέσα πεθαίνεις από την μυρωδιά της υγρασίας μετά είναι ότι το δωμάτιο ειναι σαν μια τρύπα έλειπαν οι πετσέτες αν θέλετε σαμπουάν να λουστείτε μετά να αγοράσετε επειδή στο δωμάτιο δεν θα βρείτε ποτέ και γενικά μην ακούτε την περιγραφή του facebook επειδή τα ήδη ηγιεινης ακόμα δεν έχουν φτάσει σε αυτό το ξενοδοχείο το ψυγείο είναι τόσο μικρο που δεν περιγράφετε το μπαλκόνι χωρίς σίτες οπότε άμα βγεις έξω το βράδυ για καφέ θα μπουν όλα τα κουνούπια μέσα η λάμπα από τότε που αγοράστηκε δεν ξανακαθαρηστικε και με λίγα λόγια οποίος έρθει δεν θα ξαναέρθει
