Made to feel very welcome. Room very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts first class with lots of choice. All cooked in front of us. Swimming pool and beach towels available for guests. Very friendly hosts. Lots to do in the area. Highly recommended

Wendy and Phil are wonderful hosts! Great breakfast each day and very lovely room with en-suite bathroom. Gorgeous back deck and pool. Perfect for morning coffee each day. Highly recommend for Paihia area stay!

Stayed for a couple of days . Very comfortable accommodation and the breakfasts was good. It is a little outside Paihia and the walk back is up a steep hill. We walked into the town once and drove twice (thankfully as it rained). The host Phil was helpful and gave us good advice - e.g. go to Russell on the car ferry it is much cheaper ($8 total vs $17 person) and an alternative route back to Auckland. The only minor criticism is the parking, the drive is steep and manoeuvring is awkward.

We had a truly great stay here, couldn’t fault it. The accommodation was clean, fresh and comfortable. And, included a small pool, ideal for cooling off after loo long days in the sun. Location is on a hill top overlooking the bay. Just a short walk to the town will provide plenty of culinary options to suit all tastes. Phil and Wendy were warm and welcoming. We both loved it and would definitely use again.

Just had a fantastic stay here. Beautiful place. Very friendly and helpful hosts Phil and Wendy. Beautiful and very well appointed room. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Lovely pool and outside area. 20 minute very pleasant walk into the town.

This Bed and Breakfast is a superb gem. We were drawn back for a second visit after 8 years of longing for the tranquility and warmth we found at Decks of Paihia. Everything is orderly , attractive and immaculate. The breakfasts are first class with delicious, home baked Friands, coupled with chef-calibre omelettes by Phil and Wendy. They are delightful hosts who engage and help their guests. We shall return!

It’s just a room( mine was in the basement) there is a steep hill to get up to the room. Just a warning if you would like to walk in to town so you don’t have to pay for parking.

We had a lovely stay with Wendy and Phil. The property is well maintained with beautiful views and surroundings. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is generous and delicious. It's a 10-15 minute into the main part of town for dinner with plenty of choices. Plenty of things to see and do nearby as well. We would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Wendy and Phil for having us.

This is a great place to stay in Paihia! It is high up on the hill which means that you are away from the noise and traffic lower down. We loved waking in the morning to all the bird calls! In any case, it is just a quick jaunt down to the beach, where there is lots to do. Our hosts, Phil and Wendy, we very friendly and great to talk to! The breakfasts were first-rate and it was great to meet other guests around the breakfast table. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend this for a stay in Paihia!
