Amber House Hotel

Wonderful 2 days stay at Amber house, all your needs catered for, spotless, breakfast perfect, so much choice and all local produce. Mark and staff very welcoming. Set in a quiet area with lovely private gardens, 10 mins walk into Paignton and Goodrington sands. Bus routes were really good £7 each day saver, we went from Babbacombe to Brixham on the bus.

Had 9 nights in this fabulous hotel, was my second visit. Its like home from home, fabulous room very comfy bed and it has a lovely TV, bathroom had recently been replaced and it was beautiful. Breakfast is just superb. Plenty of parking and really central for walking to Paignton or Goodrington. (Other areas like Brixham, Torquay & Totnes only a short drive away.) Lovely garden where I spent quite a lot of time as it was very hot for my doggie so had a very relaxing time. The hosts Vivien, Debbie, Mark and Paul are more like family to me, nothing too much trouble. Couldnt fault a thing about my holiday - except I didnt want to leave!!! Am already booked for a long weekend in October and having 2 weeks 3 days next summer. Really cant recommend enough.

The owners have put so much thought into the room. From the excellent local notes to comprehensive TV instructions everything has been thought of. A really nice friendly atmosphere as well. We loved our stay

Fabulous hotel lovely and clean,the staff were great and the breakfast are out of this world. The team here go above and beyond what you would expect,nothing is too much trouble.Would recommend for anyone looking for accommodation in this area.

Currently enjoying a 2 night stay at the amber house in Paignton and it’s been utterly fantastic - I cannot begin to describe how great our stay has been. The rooms are spotlessly clean and has the most amazing shower with buckets of hot water, lovely fluffy towels and all the amenities you could ask for including fully stocked toiletries selection, hairdryer, tea and coffee. There is a breakfast menu with a wide variety to suit all tastes and dietary needs and was cooked beautifully - I had eggs Benedict which was lovely and would highly recommend. We have come to celebrate my mums birthday and her room had the most amazing view and she has been throughly spoilt with surprises left for her to help her celebrate 🥰 The hotel is very dog friendly and our dog Walt, was made to feel very welcomed and loved, he received lots of fuss and cuddles and his food has been kept refrigerated which is a massive help. Finally I just wanted to say a big thank you to our hosts. There just aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful, Debbie, Vivian, Paul and Mark have been. They are literally the 4 nicest people you could ever wish to meet. They are sooooo accommodating, friendly and welcoming and I cannot thank them enough for making my mums birthday so special and making us feel so very welcomed. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here when visiting Paignton again and cannot recommend them and their lovely accommodation enough! Thank you from Debbie, Mike, Linda, Terry, Helen and Walt xxx

Absolutely lovely stay here for our 25yrs Anniversary Welcomed by the hosts from Start to Finish and nothing was ever to much trouble and the weather was brilliant too 😀 Breakfast always fresh every morning and a lovely relaxing break highly recommended.
