Best high end property in the Baltics

We discovered Pädaste Manor on the island of Muhu about fifteen years ago. The location is idyllic, so peaceful with just the sound of the wind in the trees and the song of the nightingale. We return as often as we can for short breaks and to celebrate important family events. Pädaste has set the standard by which we measure other hotels. None of them come close. The Manor has been restored to a very high standard with friendly, intelligent staff who take a personal delight in looking after their guests. We are pampered not just by the staff but with soft comfortable beds, a sumptuous breakfast and the delights served up at their Michelin standard restaurant. Thank you to the team at Pädaste for making us feel so special once again. We look forward to seeing before too long.

We spent five wonderful relaxing nights at Padaste enjoying this most beautiful hotel in what is for me, the most stunning location anywhere. The food is sourced locally, from the kitchen garden or foraged and is out of this world and the honey produced by Padaste is an absolute must try at breakfast. I learnt that the starter for the sourdough bread is a 100 years old and comes from one of the owners' family and it produces absolutely gorgeous bread. The breakfasts are "a must" experience, and the pancakes are a must try. All the food is beautifully presented and is served by knowledgeable staff. Our room was immaculately clean and serviced daily, and the beds are so comfortable. What a treat the turn-down service is! Indeed all staff at the hotel did everything they could to make our stay the absolute best, they work incredibly hard, very pleasant, knowledgeable, work as a team and are an absolute credit to the owners. The spa and the newly installed smoke sauna is an absolute must visit and is the best that I have ever experienced. The spa uses local herbs and plants in their products which are divine. The hotel have spacious rooms and the Alexanders' restaurant is stunning, serving stunning food and incidentally have gained a much deserved Michelin award for 2023 and 2024. In the restaurant is a very special and beautiful grand piano that was specially commissioned by the owner. We were very fortunate to hear the owner playing this beautiful instrument on a few evenings, including at the special concert that we attended at the restaurant. After five wonderful nights and days at Padaste, regrettably, the time came to leave this wonderful luxurious place on Muhu and return to our day to day lives, but what a wonderful treat we had. We have now returned home refreshed but have started planning on our return already. Au revoir Padaste and your wonderful team, we will be back as soon as can. Thank you Padaste and all the wonderful staff for making our stay the absolute best. We highly recommend the experience of Padaste in fact it is a must.

This is a perfect example of Small Luxury Hotel quality - serene and with every detail effortlessly addressed. Time apart is what I sought and Padaste provided it with every comfort and with abundant charm. All the more given its remote location, Padaste blew me away with its excellence. The more I realised that I could expect that level of service at every turn, the more I relaxed into the surroundings. The room was delightfully spacious and high ceilinged with lovely touches like local embroidery work, and without distractions ie the tv simply disappears so I didn't have to interact with a screen, even passively. The spa service was exceptional, the grounds were beautiful. I will be back to take in the seaside wood-fired hot-tub with plunge into the sea, borrow a bike and venture beyond the grounds. I did try the natural spring-fed waters tub near the spa, 'twas tough to tear myself away from there. Padaste hotel, staff and grounds - 5 out of 5. Michelin has given Padaste various recognitions and this looks good on Michelin. I'm writing a restaurant review separately because that was an experience apart. Padaste was thoughtfulness topped to the brim. PS - I was given a look at the private farmhouse, that just might be the jewel in the crown, even over the main Manor House's Presidential Suite.

I would see this excellent place as my first time on trying a luxury hotel, that provides almost everything with great satisfactory. It took some time to travel from Tallinn to Muhu, but to be outside of the city is truly refreshing. And I'm extremely grateful for trying such opportunity for summer after discovering Pädaste Manor offering packages on specific times, so I took the chance. The place is like a private resort, beautiful manor with rich history, a superb restaurant with a view to the open space, a large open park in the middle, a garden for the manor and visitors, restored buildings belonging to the complex, the spa and the beach. I've arrived a bit late, but the receptionists were kind and showed me the room, I also got a plan about when will the restaurant be open. I've read that Pädaste manor is trying to achieve to satisfy all six senses for the visitor. While being there, I felt how much my senses were affected by this atmosphere, a complete peace. The Yacht Club, which offers outside dinner only I think, I tried Caesar salat with nice crispy shrimps and a rhubarb soft drink. I haven't asked if they also offer maybe drinks during the nights. There's also a nice road walk at the beach side where I saw a swan family swimming there. Also there was a pond with fishes, so I asked for the opportunity to feed them. I've heard that one of the old building complex was a place for brewing beer. Sadly this was in the past, but it would be nice to try a home made beer one day in Pädaste. And as for the spa, I tried the sauna instead of the massage there. Very interesting way on using honey also in the sauna. And I saw the moonlight reflection on to the pond after doing a quick jump into the cold tub. I would say that Pädaste Manor is like a milieu, timeless in a way. There was many other things that I would have also loved to try there, but that would be in another day, when I visit this lovely place again.
