Baymont by Wyndham Owatonna

This hotel was pretty nice honestly. The check-in process was simple and easy. Got up to our room and were pleasantly surprised with the spacious area we had. The sink was outside the bathroom which we prefer since there was 3 of us adults and this just makes everything easier for us while getting ready. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows also were pretty decent. They had a laminated sheet with TV channels on it which just makes it more convenient for watching TV. The wifi worked well. We ate at the Applebees just south of the hotel since it was so close, though the front desk gal recommended a different restaurant for us (we were just tired from a long flight back from Switzerland, so we wanted to go eat and come back to the room and sleep). The bathroom could use a little updating but the shower worked fine in ours and the water pressure was actually pretty decent. Breakfast was kind of lackluster, not a lot of options like we are used to, the refrigerator didn't have much in it. The only hot items were scrambled eggs and sausage (the sausage was quite good), waffles and pancakes. They did have oatmeal packets. I would definitely stay here again regardless of the breakfast!

Rooms are clean and well made up. Excellent place to stay. Breakfast in the mornings were hot and had plenty. If coffee ran out there was another pot out quickly. Super!!

The handicap accessible room was great! The bathroom had many assist bars where needed. The walk-in shower had a seat and handheld shower wand. The towels were definitely better than the usual hotel quality. We really appreciated the automatic entrance doors which made it easier for us. The breakfast included many tasty selections. All staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We'd definitely stay here again!!!

We appreciated the nice place to stay right off highway, room was clean and place was quiet. The outside appearance was good and was nice to have a Applebees to walk to for supper. Breakfast had nice selection. Also couple of coffee places across street.

Great place to stay. The hotel staff is very friendly, there is a little pub on site and snacks/drinks for additional purchase which is helpful for last-minute items. Internet is very stable and the access to additional area in the lobby for comfortable work is an added benefit. This location has a pool and decent fitness area along with plenty of places to grab a decent meal. Really love that it is right around the corner from my company's corporate office.

not the cleanest hotel, i woke up my last morning and seen two cockroaches running for the drain as i turned on the light. Super gross. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. the beds were super hard and uncomfortable.

Nice hotel soya good breakfast, but had big problem. Room was never cleaned on the second day of a 3 day stay even after stopping at desk once and after leaving a note at 1:30 PM. Desk clerk did not understand note tat read “148 not cleaned at 1:30PM”. What not to understand?

This is the best budget hotel I've ever stayed in. They do everything right, something I can't say about many high-end hotels. I stayed for a week starting with my mom being moved to a nearby hospice through her funeral. The staff is great. One example is I mentioned the sink in my room was draining slow. The day the maintenance person came up to me asked me how it's working. The place is spotless. It has an outdoor patio with a gas-powered fire with comfortable Adirondack chairs, it even has a beer & wine bar. The pool will meet the need of families. The lobby area can be used for work if you're tired of your room. It's quiet. I stayed on the second floor in room 258. Sometime in hotels of this type you hear the people walking down the hallway; not here because the floor is concrete. I'd consider myself an experienced traveler and I rarely give any place a five-star review. I'm lifetime platinum Marriott Rewards member (50 plus nights a year for 10 years).

Virginia was very accommodating when taking our family reservations and worked with my brother Kurt to get everything done. The stay was very comfortable, and the staff welcomed us for or dads funeral service everything and everyone and everything was great. THANK YOU
