White Lion Lodge on Sanbona

The White Lion Lodge really exceeded our expectations! The room couldn't been more beautiful, carefully designed in every detail with huge windows to see the sunrise and a cute outside area where we used to observe the milky way at night. The amazing cook Alicia prepared us delicious and healthy courses throughout the day. In general: Every wish was directly granted. I booked a Swedish massage and an Indian head massage and it was out of this world! So relaxing! Thank you Tanja! Our game drives were very interesting, we saw animals like lions, elephants and giraffes from very close and our guide Romeo was very knowledgeable about them. The cherry on the top was the warm hot tub which was perfect for ending the winter day. Thank you to all the team for this unforgettable experience!

Wir haben 2 wundervolle Tage in der White Lion Lodge verbracht Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und herzlich und wir bekamen unser Mittagessen immer individuell je nachdem wir von unserer Morgensafari zurückgekehrt sind Mit Romeo haben wir 2 beeindruckende Game Drives gemacht und 4 derBig5 aus allernächster Nähe beobachten können. Vielen Dank nochmal Romeo für deine Hartnäckigkeit Die Zimmer sind sehr luxuriös und geräumig mit einer wundervollen Lage mitten in der Natur Ein wunderbares Erlebnis,dass man nicht so schnell vergessen wird.

We were a family group of 11 and basically had all the bungalows and main house to ourselves. The road from the main gate to the accommodation is a bit of a drive, so best to have a sturdy vehicle .... We were welcomed and greeted with a late lunch ~ good selection of food prepared by a very friendly & sociable group of ladies. It soon became very festive and jovial. The surroundings and scenery is very calm and quiet - great to escape from hustle & bustle. The rooms have all the accessories & facilities required for a relaxing stay. They all have nice views across the river & away from each other - providing some privacy. The kids enjoyed the pool and the adults the jacuzzi at night. Dinner was delicious with plenty of options to make sure everyone had a full belly - as well as a decent selection of drink and alcohol. We also did the game drive turned cold after the sun set, so best prepare a jacket and use some blankets provided. The drive was entertaining and fun, didn't see an exceptional number of animals but was ok for us. There were snacks and drinks provided along the drive as well. Breakfast was had on the deck outside and was also plentiful and delicious. All in all a wonderful & relaxing stay in nature, great facilities and excellent, warm & friendly service from everyone at the lodge!
