Hot Springs Inn

Great location/price and room. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was ok.

Perfect location! The balcony overlooking the river is really nice- can go to sleep with the sound of the rushing river. Very clean room and grounds, nice hot tub, nice continental breakfast included. Easy walk into town. All the staff were so friendly! Ouray is just incredible. Would definitely stay here again.

Great front desk personnel! Clean facilities! Love the balcony on each room hearing the river pass by. Stayed here several times. Recomend this lodging! Each room has two large king beds. Plenty of storage drawers. If I had to make any suggestion it would be more water pressure in the shower. Always enjoy our stays here!

Cutest little Motel! Clean and huge rooms, walk in showers. We enjoyed opening the windows and listening to the babbling brook all night long. Trail right behind hotel is a nice 2 mile loop. Get out at night on the trail and look at the stars. Staff were excellent. Good breakfast.

We loved this charming hotel! Our room had been recently renovated and it was huge (a double king)! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of nice, thick towels. Breakfast was standard American continental, but it was convenient and nice to have it included. Ample parking, even for our full-size truck. We used the on-site, free gas bbq and picnic pavilion for dinner one night and also soaked in the hot tub. Listening to the river from our window was the icing on top!

Excellent 3 night stay in a ground floor double king room. Had a private balcony on the river, fireplace (didn’t use), and good amenities. Decent water pressure in shower with lasting hot water. Great tv channel selection. Staff was outstanding with the exception of a young lady in 2 of 3 mornings - not knowledgeable or helpful when making inquiries about the area. Asked for decaf coffee (which was provided the morning prior) and she said she didn’t have any. No attempt to brew any or knew of a place we could get some. Other than that, would have rated 5 stars for overall cleanliness, comfort, and service.

What a wonderful place to stay! We were warmly greeted and everything was thoroughly explained. The room was sizable with great amenities and oozed cozy comfort. The real gem, though, was the covered porch on the river. Thanks to ideal autumn weather, we spent a lot of time on the porch listening to the running water and gazing up at the steep cliffs. The towels were plentiful and thick, and the beds were sooo comfortable. The price was great for the value. Location was ideal too, with just a short walk to the public hot spring pools and downtown just a bit farther. Oh! One touch I especially loved in our room was the table lamps, providing soft lighting st night.

The Hot Springs Inn was a slight disappointment to us. We encountered a woman named Rita (possibly the owner) who entered our room to tape a hand-written sign for us NOT to touch the TV box or wires to the TV. We had not touched anything. We turned the TV on and all we got was static from Dish TV. We left a note on the second day to have someone fix it so we could watch TV. They did fix it, but included the nasty note. The 3 hot tubs are tiny and children under 5' are not allowed to enter them. The continental breakfast is only served from 8-9:30 am. For people from the east coast that is the equivalent of eating at 10 am or later. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, about 1/5 mile from the Hot Springs pool. We could not walk to restaurants or attractions. The beds are large and comfortable, but notes taped to the dresser warn not to stain any linens. The hotel chose white towels and floor mats. These are hard to keep stain-free with kids. Overall, Hot Springs Inn is not kid-friendly.

A great location right on the Uncompahgre River. It was nice to sit on the balcony and listen to the flowing river. However. IMHO the bed spread and liners need an update. The pillows were mushy. The A/C cycled on and off every few minutes. We had to wear shoes while in the room otherwise our socks got dirty. Lots of stains on the carpet. With some update to the linens, pillows, and a good carpet cleaning I would rate excellent.
