Ouray Inn

Perfect affordable, cozy, fun! They had an incredible breakfast each morning and made a vegetarian version of sausage gravy and biscuits for me that was out of this world!! Then there was a nice happy hour every day too and so it was very easy to make friends with everyone if you wanted to - I loved that part of it! The bed was super comfy which is great for everyone to know bc too many times affordable means uncomfortable - not here! Top notch bedding and I am a real stickler on this point. I'll definitely be staying again and hope the wonderful hosts will still be there!

We enjoyed our stay at the Ouray Inn. The room was clean and a good size for the two of us. Everyone at the inn was nice and the location is great being close to but off of the busy Main Street. The room came with a microwave and fridge. The bathroom had a nice big sink with plenty of storage. And the shower had great water pressure. The room also had a slightly musty/old smell which didn't bother us after a few minutes. The only thing we didn't like was the bed. While it was initially comfortable, it is far too soft. The bed had no support and both of us had a hard time sleeping and woke up sore because of the bed. I had to sleep with a pillow under me to give me more support to prop me up so that my spine was in a comfortable position.

The Ouray Inn is old-fashioned, immaculately clean, and extremely well-maintained motel a block from the center of town. What makes it particularly nice are the welcoming resident managers, Brett and Carmen. By way of example, I had trouble using the Direct TV remote and took it down to the office for one of them to show me what to do, which Carmen did. About 15 minutes later, after the office was officially closed, Brett showed up to make sure that the TV was working to our satisfaction. WOW, try to duplicate that almost anywhere else! In a similar vein, the breakfast even includes a choice (a frittata the day we were there) freshly prepared that morning by Carmen.

The Ouray Inn is a nice older place that’s comfortable and well maintained. It has a rustic Western feel. (OBTW, go to their Web site and learn about building the Inn. Interesting and fun.) The room a bit small but adequate with queen bed, one bed table (always makes placing the CPAP interesting), easy chair with ottoman, writing desk and chair, wardrobe, mini-fridge and microwave. Nice afternoon attendant (one of the owners with her small child) as well as her husband the next day. It’s of the old motel style where we park at room (which can be nice when unloading and loading luggage). They have a basic breakfast in their lobby. Off to one side is a counter containing cereal, OJ, milk, yogurt, some fruit, something hot (one day biscuits and *****, the next the makings for a breakfast sandwich). There's a coffee urn (with they had 'real' cream rather than the powdered stuff). In the middle are two picnic tables, a round table in the corner and a very small breakfast bar. Basic. But adequate. A real nice feature is Happy Hour. Each afternoon, they have tow carafes of wine (one white, one red) and cookies (now cookies don't really go with wine, but I had both anyway). There are several chairs outside the lobby to sip and view the scenery. Nice touch (and the host even came by and gave us a refill). We enjoyed our time at the Ouray Inn.

Perfect small mountain village inn! One block from the Main Street for dining, shopping and groceries. Well appointed with coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Thoughtful amenities like happy hour, picnic area, board games, hot springs guest towels, friendly staff and even deer strolling on the property!

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Erklärung des Gasthauses sowie der Ortschaft. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bett wirklich bequem. Das ganze Gebäude scheint liebevoll und mit Effort in Schuss gehalten zu werden. Sehr lecker und speziell die hausgemachten Cookies, zu welchen auch ein Gläschen Wein offeriert wird. Auch das Frühstück war toll, ganz nach dem Motto "klein aber fein"! Wir würden hier sofort wieder übernachten, vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft.

Location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown. Our "king suite" was tiny, like walk sideways tiny. Fridge and WC very clean, but sink area not as much and also there's no door between sink area and bed. Lots of towels including extras to borrow for hot springs. Everything very dusty - maybe because it wasn't high season yet? Unclear if comforters are washed between guests - ours had a couple of very small smudges. Nowhere to plug in phone or laptops to charge - had to ask for an extension cord. Laundry room is spotless and efficient (1 each washer/dryer). We were upstairs, and had use of a common deck that had a gorgeous view. Free parking. Breakfast looked tasty however there are zero gluten free options - better to go around the corner to one of the many coffee shops. "Happy Hour" is sad wine and cookies. Owners were out of town, their relative who was filling in (niece? daughter?) was very pleasant and accommodating. Not sure why they asked at booking if our stay was a special occasion (it was- wedding anniversary), all we got was a sincere "Happy Anniversary" when we checked in, no perks. This is an affordable option here in Ouray, but I would stay elsewhere next time.

The cutest hotel I have ever stayed at. They have the best, friendliest staff. CLEAN room. Spotless. LOVE the happy hour with wine and cookies, love the hot shower with great pressure, and the best was so comfortable. Great place. They even had games to play in the lobby. The location is walking distance to all the cute shops and great places to eat and drink. We were pleasantly surprised with how much we loved it there. Thank you for a memorial vacation.

This is a great hotel. Our room was large and had a balcony that overlooked the river behind the hotel. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and relaxing to the sound of the river. Our room and bathroom were very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I used the laundry room and it was clean and I quickly got my laundry washed. The continental breakfast had a good variety of breads and bagels and donuts. Juice and coffee and milk were offered. We walked into town - a 5-10 minute walk to the charming downtown area. I will stay here again - the hotel and town are fantastic
