Beautiful riverfront home with BIG views and hot tub

A decent home in a great location. Although the house is definitely older, the accommodation was fine for our needs. Beds were comfortable and and the home had everything we needed, plus it was 3 mins from a grocery store. Scenery was amazing and it was awesome being close to the river, even if it was a short hike down the hill. The interior could definitely use some updating and deep cleaning. Many items didn't work or weren't available. No working hot tub, refrigerator water dispenser and ice were inoperable and there were a few light bulbs out that I replaced myself. The tap water was not that great, so we bought spring water. Many faucets an the tub had significant hard water crust. Overall it was a good stay due to it's convenient location to Ridgway, Ouray, and Telluride, the great scenery and openness and the price we paid compared to others in the area.

wonderful views. Building needs significant improvements. Ice maker on refrigerator was not working, several light fixtures not functioning. Kitchen supplies were of poorer quality than other places we have stayed, and somewhat mismatched. Very warm when we stayed, and inability to open windows for cross ventilation made it uncomfortable. Handle on shower faucet was not working properly and made it difficult to control temperature.

Incredible location - house needs some TLC The location and local activities were perfect! The house was spacious and comfortable and had several nice features like newer flooring, lovely wood beams, lots of counter space, spectacular views, and ideally located near trails. The unit was advertised with a premier host rating so we expected a 4- or 5-star unit, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the unit were more like a 3-star facility. The backyard furniture was falling apart and unusable, and there was no grill (we used the host's personal grill - not a great location). The window screens were in bad repair and the screen door was broken (letting in all the flies). The refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser were broken. A number of light bulbs were burnt out. The master bed was on a platform that was too large for the mattress and difficult to get in and out of. The front room bed was extremely uncomfortable (but we were glad for the air mattress). There were no small, but nice personal touches such as tissues, shampoo, or lotion. The kitchen was not well organized, and it was hard to find things. There were a large amount of dead bugs in most of the light fixtures, and the living room furniture had not been vacuumed. The caulking on the windows and bathrooms was in bad repair. The condensation in the windows hinders the spectacular views. With a little elbow grease, updated décor & furniture (beds and patio), and TLC, this unit would live up to the premier rating and be worth the price.
