Upon arrival, front desk staff seemed nice. We rented the Ambassador suite and the suite itself was nice and spacious. It smelled musty due to the jacuzzi. Reception staff was pretty useless - I had to ask 4 times for body wash that was not in our room before they brought it (took until the next day to get it. That’s a simple thing that just wasn’t done. I was honestly tired of asking..). Jacuzzi in the room didn’t work, staff wasn’t even sure how to operate it with wall controls. Had to send maintenance guy in 2 times (on day 2) to finally get it running. The temp of the jacuzzi still didn’t reach where it should have been, so we had a cool temp jacuzzi for our 4-day stay, but we were constantly assured it would get to temperature. Staff was brutal and disorganized. Restaurant food was 1/10. Not a picky eater but couldn’t even eat the seafood pasta. We were assured there was 24 hour reception when we booked. We had to leave at 7am to catch a flight and no one was at reception to check out. We asked a groundskeeper to get someone to help us checkout at front desk but he told us no one was there until 9am. We told him we had to leave to catch a flight and he stepped in front of us on the path and said we couldn’t leave. Hotel had our credit card info, so we weren’t worried about leaving without paying. He followed us to the gate, telling us we couldn’t leave. Just a brutal experience. The room itself and pool were nice. The staff was awful and the service was very poor. There were barely any guests at the resort as well, which made the brutal service even more confusing. This is not a 4 or 5 star hotel. 2.5 at best (ex: I asked pool staff where I could get a towel and they didn’t know; absurd). I wouldn’t recommend.
