Safari Beach Resort

This was our first time visiting Safari beach. We had an amazing experience. Paul and Carol were amazing from the moment we checked in and all throughout our stay. It was a very clean, beautiful, family oriented, vacation spot. Exactly what we were looking for! Paul coming out with hotdog and s’mores for the kids was one of our highlights. We definitely recommend this resort and we will be back next year for sure!

We are currently here at Safari Beach Resort in Room 219. The room is clean and has an apartment sized galley kitchen which is convenient. The bathroom is somewhat small, I have to step to the side to be able to close the door. The shower is short and not adjustable even to change the direction of the spray. I find the tub awkward to stand in as well. It’s narrow and dips in toward the middle. The beds are comfortable enough. Only one pillow per person is provided. Housekeeping is provided once per week so for our four day stay I don’t expect to see anyone in our room which means we empty the garbages and such ourselves. There is a small table tucked against the wall but it’s not really useable for a family of four. There isn’t enough room to pull it out and set four places with four chairs. We’ve been eating on the patio table instead. The second level patios are all on one level and open, they are not private. People have to walk through your space to get down to the beach. The pool is somewhat small but decent and clean. Lots of lounge chairs. The beach sand is manicured and there’s lots of it. Unfortunately there is a lot of seaweed washed up on the shore and growing in the swimming area. My kids refuse to go in a second time which makes me sad. There is a dock and a small floating dock as well. We will not book here again because of the seaweed in the swimming area. To me a nice swimming area is the point of booking a beachfront hotel.

This is the perfect spot for families. The amenities are 10/10 and it has so many great features for families with small kids. We could not have been happier with our family vacation!

This is one the nicest places, we are return customers.We go back every year and spend our summer vacation here. The suites make you feel like you're right at home, they have everything that you need for your stay. You have beach lake access as well as own personal pool. The staff are all so friendly and always willing to help.If there's a problem. This resort has everything you need. Laundry, vending machines, bags of ice, books/magazines, games , BBQ etc Great place to stay with family and friends

Friendly accommodating staff, great location, comfy rooms. We stayed only for two days, wish it was longer. Will be back.

The Pros: Great staff, very clean and great amenities. Rooms have everything you need to cook and extra beds are good for groups of up to 4. Beach level gives you your own BBQ and all suites have a patio/terrace with table and 4 chairs. If on the second level, bring an umbrella for the table. Also most suites do not have cushions for the metal chairs. If you don’t want to cook, lots of restaurants and don’t forget the wineries. The Cons: Can be extremely busy with screaming kids and adults! Although there is a request from management to keep quiet after 11pm, it’s not followed. So the crowd here that books, are not exactly concerned about the other guests. Management can’t do anything about controlling the night time partying that goes on to 3am. Bring earplugs. The pool rules are not followed. And it’s not the kiddie pool toys, it’s the adults. When you combine all day drinking and all day in the pool (gross) it’s not the best combination if you know what I mean. Overall, if you want a more relaxing vacation, book in the off season. If you are a family, just know that it used to be family oriented and bring noise machines for the room so everyone can sleep.
