I have never stayed in an apartment-hotel before and though I have expectations, never realized it was this bad. I booked two rooms for us and another couple who I was showing Osaka for their first time. I picked the location for its proximity to the Shinkansen station but realized it was too far from other locations for was of access. Finding the hotel was easy though. My first mistake is not reading my emails prior to arrival I was so busy in Tokyo I neglect to do this. An email was sent sending unclear instructions on how to access the hotel. There is no front desk and the code to the door in is the email so read your email. Second, one of the rooms did not use a key pad and it was in a key box supposedly located in an electrical box which we do not know where it was. Luckily, a housekeeper on another floor took the time to show us where the location was. It was in the storage for some kind of heater. The rooms were typical small apartments with full amenity such as washer and dryer. This would be ideal if you stayed for a week or longer but we were only here for 2 nights, should have stayed at a regular hotel. Wi-FI was very spotty and our room on the second floor was very noisy as workers were very loud outside, we heard all the evening sounds. The end was very uncomfortable but you get what you pay for. Maybe for teens and young couples but not for us more senior travelers.
