I understand why these places don't invest a bit more to be good. The hotel was full, so the money certainly is missing.
The good bits: it's nice to have your own room, the location is very well connected, the staff tried their best to be helpful, toilets generally clean and nice spa on the top floor.
The bad bits: the mattress and pillow are so thin they are almost useless. Apparently "only some beds have new mattress", and they didn't have any to spare. I was given extra towels and blankets (to put under the mattress) and this helped. My room was right next to the railway tracks, but this wasn't much of an issue. What was a problem was a deep strong vibration going on and off all the time. I think this might be a very old heating system. Wall paper peeling away and generally shabby run down look.
Please invest some money in comfortable bedding and good facilities, it's such a shame, it could be a very good place.
