Very good room presentation and interior, hotel services are also very good

Overall the hotel was nice and met my expectations of the star rating. The staff were all very friendly, the lobby is very well kept and nice, the free breakfast area in the morning was clean and full of plenty of continental style options. The location is nice - right near the water, with lots of great restaurants in walking distance and only about a 10 min drive to ****** Rama - we were there for a concert and it was perfect for 1 night stay. The room we were given (#316) was not the best, I would have preferred a different room but didn't want to make a big deal but our window was about a foot away from a brick wall so no natural light giving it kind of a "dungeon" feel. There were also a couple of pigeons that took up residence there and were flying around first thing in the morning making a lot of noise. No fault of the hotel, but if I return would ask for a different room with a nicer window. The room itself was fine, bathroom was clean and stocked.

BEDBUGS!! This hotel has bedbugs. We were talking to another couple and they had bites on their legs like us and were not sure of what they were.so we told them. We stayed a few days and put a plastic anti bedbug sheet on. We told the manager( Mr Singh) and he just laughed and said they don’t have bedbugs but they do. The hotel looks pretty and it appears clean and the staff except Mr Singh are very nice. He is arrogant and condescending towards guest because I think his family owns the hotel. We would never stay here again mainly because of the bedbugs but also because of the condescending Mr Singh Do not stay here if you like your health

This hotel is centrally located in Orillia walking distance to many things near the waterfront. The hotel staff was excellent. The room was clean. The breakfast was Continental and plentiful. If there is only one drawback, it would be the parking lot is very small and we had to park off site in the gated area 2 blocks away.

I have mobility issues and in all fairness I didn’t disclose this when I booked. Our room 220 and another family looking for 215 had difficulty finding the rooms. We went the elevator to floor 2. There was an L shaped hallway. Finally found a door that indicated where our rooms were. It was approximately 8 steps down to a very small landing and another 3 steps up. Not accessible at all Room was clean and quite nice We had dinner with friends at Fionn’s. Again, there was a ramp to the patio that is made narrow by the bikes in the bike rack. To get into the restaurant, again was 10 stairs up. We waited and the host brought my walker upstairs to the restaurant. Washrooms again down 2 flights of stairs. I had someone carry my walker back down the stairs. Only 2 of 4 of us really enjoyed the meal. The side of beans was hard, steak pie not very hot, Yorkshire pudding and steak wrap is quite cold. Service was not very good. Employees standing around as I waved my hand multiple times to get someone’s attention. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

We booked a room with a queen bed. The room felt like a dorm room. It was tiny with just enough room for a bed, small desk that was built into the wall and the bathroom. The bed was also definitely not queen size, more like a double. And because the room was so tiny we could hear everything noise from the hallway. Now for the good things; everyone working there was very friendly and helpful, breakfast had many options (basic, but totally fine), and the hotel is nicely renovated. We probably wouldn’t return and definitely don’t recommend this for a family, as the room barely had enough space for my husband and I.

We had gone to a show at ****** rama and instead of driving back to Toronto, decided to stay at the hotel. The hotel didn't have adequate parking and wanted us to park across the street where we did not feel safe as there were homeless people living in tents and it was dark. When we walked into the hotel lobby to complain, there were other people complaining and someone disabled who also was not tended to. We found out that the hotel knew about the issue, and could have made better arrangements, but chose not to spend the money to do so. I'm very disappointed in the hotel and will never stay here again. Btw- the rooms and breakfast= nothing to rave over.

The original hotel was built in 1910, so I was hoping to see some artifacts from its past. It was renovated in 2016. An extension has been added to the side street side, allowing for an elevator and stairwells. Staff seen at both arrival and departure were very accommodating. A continental breakfast was available and exceeded my expectations. The cost was very reasonable and the hotel was located near the lake. There was a large restaurant attached and lighted parking in the back, which was limited as it was shared with the restaurant, especially in the winter with snow accumulations.

Very little parking. Best was 2 blocks away. Not waterfront but 2 blocks away in construction site. No house keeping service unless you stayed 7 days. Not accessible - many stairs. Not worth the price you are paying.
