It’s always such a pleasure to stay. Staff are always welcoming and a delight. Enjoyable evening meal and a good nights sleep. I did struggle to find something on the menu that I really liked the sound of. I chose the cannon of lamb and it was lovely. But I totally understand that a smaller menu means you know it is all fresh.

A great hotel. The room was well-designed and comfortable. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Food was delicious (we had two evening meals and two breakfasts).

We stayed at the Crown & Castle for five nights in May as it's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. We had a room opening out onto the garden which was quiet and very comfortable. Can't fault the hotel or its staff.

Always consistently good. Fab place. Nothing too much trouble and staff always go the extra mile. Food fantastic. Garden rooms are lovely, beautifully clean. Much appreciated the complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. We always go for special celebrations and will be back in august again!

Having spent our wedding night here, we returned for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. The hotel went that extra mile, surprising us with petite fours abd fizz at the end of our dinner.

The Crown and Castle is an ideal, luxury getaway, from the lovely, well appointed room, to pre-dinner drinks in the bar, followed by an excellent dinner .... not to mention a breakfast to set us up for the day ahead. Orford is a lovely town, right out of a picture book. Everything about the stay was perfect. We love the hotel and all that the town has to offer. A visit to the castle was fascinating and we brought lovely goodies home from the smoked fish shop and bakery.
