"VVF Alsace Orbey-Colmar? You should know that Colmar is still 25 minutes from Orbey, which is not insignificant. The title is certainly catchy but you will need the car for everything. In addition, the town of Orbey has no charm, no attraction, only the tourist office is good. This VVF site wants to be inclusive and it is, we did not know it before going there which is not normal. When booking, no information given on this subject, which can be a problem when you find yourself faced with groups of complicated people in rooms and in the restaurant / common areas. The term "inclusive" is to be taken into account for your future vacations. If you are ok with that, so much the better. We are not. Otherwise, the structure is bathed in its own juice: the main building is not maintained at all (see photos), it is dirty, abandoned in places, the furniture is period and degraded (reception, dining room, entertainment room, games room and the whole part of the left wing). I am not in favor of stupidly replacing things when it is not necessary but here, stop, we pay to have a certain comfort. It feels like we are going back to the 80s. Everything is faded. Reception: a director who knows how to delegate to his staff and who knows how to be absent in the event of a dispute so as not to have to manage complex situations. Mediocre entertainment with an entertainment manager who is below par. Dining room: the furniture is not clean and sticks as soon as you touch something, the dishes are dirty and as for the meals, the food is bland, tasteless, lukewarm, even a low-end school canteen wants to be better. Canned sauerkraut and so on, even though we are in the sauerkraut region!! Buffet with little variety for starters and desserts and main courses with a set menu. We had to eat out several times because it was so bad and disappointing. Only the staff in the dining room are friendly and do everything they can with the resources they are given. When there are rush hours, no one comes to help them, total absence of management who could give a helping hand and who limit the staff by letting the poor employees run around. Rooms: furniture from an old nursing home or an old rehabilitation center (it seems that before VVF, this site was dedicated to the elderly?), insects on the floor throughout the living room, curtain half unhooked, damaged furniture, a mattress pad and let's not talk about the toilet-shower area where we were disappointed to see that the tile grout was coming off and that there was mold all over the shower. Sink area, small whitish creatures under the mirror itself dilapidated, toilet not clean, various cobwebs (see photos). Cleaning never done during the stay, a disgrace, stay that we also cut short following the deliberate fire on the part of an employee"
