If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Hotel Lakeview was one of the worst stays I’ve ever experienced. 1. Extra Charges for Basic Amenities They charge separately for heaters and wood fires—things you’d expect to be included in a cold place like Ooty. It feels like they’re trying to squeeze money out of you at every opportunity. 2. Misleading Photos The pictures online are completely different from reality. What you get is a far cry from what’s shown—old, worn-out rooms with none of the charm or cleanliness portrayed in their listings. 3. Extremely Poor Service We asked for blankets and waited for two hours with nothing delivered. Eventually, we had to walk to the reception late at night and firmly demand them before anything was done. The staff were indifferent and clearly not trained to handle guests properly. 4. Unhygienic and Unacceptable Behavior The most shocking part? A *** urinated right in front of our room. When we informed the staff, they just gave a half-hearted apology and said they'd handle it in the morning. Nothing was done. No cleaning, no sanitation—just complete negligence. This place doesn’t care about guest comfort, hygiene, or service. Save your time, money, and sanity—look elsewhere.

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. 1. Everything Costs Extra Need a heater? That’s extra. Want a wood fire to stay warm in freezing temperatures? Also extra. They’ll nickel-and-dime you for basic necessities that should already be included. Total money trap. 2. False Advertising What you see in the pictures is not what you get. The rooms are outdated, poorly maintained, and look nothing like the polished images they use to lure you in. It feels like bait-and-switch at its finest. 3. Zero Service Standards We asked for blankets. Waited over 2 hours. Nothing. Had to walk all the way to reception late at night and demand them before anyone moved a finger. Their response? Cold, careless, and completely unprofessional. 4. Shocking Levels of Negligence A *** urinated right outside our room. We reported it, and the staff acted like they cared. Said they’d handle it in the morning—then did absolutely nothing. No cleanup, no sanitation, just ignored like it never happened. Utter disregard for basic hygiene and guest experience. Hotel Lakeview is a disaster. Poor service, false promises, and a complete lack of responsibility. Avoid this place unless you’re okay with being ignored, overcharged, and treated like a nuisance instead of a guest.

Old rooms , no maintenance, very slow service, only ambiance was good . Not worth for money ,bathroom was not good

It was a good experience specially the weather was superb, food is good and although property is quite old but gardening and all has been maintained.

Bathroom is not available with exhaust fan so smell like all time ****. It is personal cottage room. No separate parking area available. No fan and AC available there. Extra blankets are provided but they didn't have cover. Medimix chandan soap is used there so smell is too bed in without exhaust fan bathroom. No brush kit available there. No sleepers available. Too cold floor area. Heater is also not available.

Hotel is located outside the city so we can enjoy calm atmosphere. Open space outside the cottage gives a wonderful experience especially during morning. Apart from it a good children play area is available. Food is also very good. Room interiors should be improved.
