Etosha Trading Post

Quite close to Anderson gate, few km before entering Etosha park, large and comfortable camping sites with kitchen facilities and private bathroom and shower. At the entrance, the best and greatest store we found in Namibia. Unfortunately the nice swimming pool was not clean enough. Very helpful staff.

We loved this campsite. The private ablutions were excellent. We had a problem with the cold water tap in the shower, but it did not stop us form enjoying this venue. The people at the site were very friendly and helpful. The only negative side is that if you want to book this site telephonically it is very difficult to deal with the reservations in Cape Town. When you send an email request for availability and pricing it takes them more than 24 hours to respond. We finally booked online, and requested campsite 2,however when we arrived we were allocated camp site 6. We travelled with a caravan, and campsite 6 was not suitable. Luckily there was a very nice lady on site who assisted us with changing to camp site 4 which was perfect. The campsites are semi private, but it would have been nice if they were spaced a bit further apart from each other. The shop at the Trading Post was awesome, and had a lot to offer We really enjoyed our 4 day stay here, and can highly recommend Etosha Trading post .

A welcome respite from the bad roads and poor service inside Etosha . Wild life ( animals ) was absolutely worth the trip …for the rest …not so great

We stopped by for a quick bite and to refuel during our road trip, and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the burger was—delicious, fresh, and well-prepared! While waiting for our food, we explored their souvenir shop located on the second floor. The shop had a nice variety of items, and we were happy to find that the prices were quite reasonable compared to other places we’ve visited. Overall, it was a convenient stop with great food and a chance to pick up a few gifts along the way. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through!

We stayed one night at TRADING POST. Nice Campground with electricity, perfect toilett houses, nice pool and a very green and soft lawn. In the main bulding is a shop for souvenirs and belongings for the day. They offer little snacks and softdrings and beer. Very well armed watchmen and nice people. There is a fuel Station !! We would come back the next time because it is worth to leave Etoscha and to come back the next day
