Hampton Inn Olive Branch

This was definitely not a typical Hampton Inn, at least not the quality I have been used to experiencing when staying at a Hampton Inn. The rooms were the worst part of the experience. They were filthy; not day to day grime and dirt, but dirty carpet and baseboards that have built up over time and now desperately need replaced. The rooms are poorly lit and had mismatching lightbulbs, from very warm to very cool in the same room. The musty odor is overwhelming when you walk in the hotel and is worse in the room. I have never been so disappointed in a Hampton Inn. On a more positive note, we found the hotel to be very quiet, fitness center was very good and customer service from the staff was very good. However, we would never choose this Hampton Inn again, due to poor cleanliness and lack of basic upkeep.

This is one of the dirtiest hotels we have stayed at in years. From the entryway to the room with filth and hair all over the bathroom floor, shower, and carpet. The bedding and towels were clean, but that was the only thing clean. The shade didn’t work and the smoke detector was put up with blue painter’s tape. It smelled like pot when you entered the hotel. The back parking lot under our window had teens hanging out most of the night. A car pulled up with vibrating and thumping music waiting on two females where they proceeded to hot box in their car. The manager gave us a partial credit on our room. He was very apologetic. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. It was only one step up from sleeping in your car.

I would NOT recommend staying here. My boyfriend got sent to Olive Branch for work, and I tagged along. Neither my boyfriend nor I are picky about hotels. I was not expecting luxury, but I do expect at least a basic level of cleanliness. The entire hotel smells musty, including the lobby areas. I could have gotten past that, but when we entered our room, I was appalled at how dirty it was. There was crumbs scattered all over the floor, hair in the shower, and hair in the bed. There was a stain on the wall near the bed that appeared to be blood. The cherry on top was that there was a literal BULLET on the floor near the HVAC unit. It was in plain sight. We went to the front desk to report that our room was dirty, and the receptionist did not even bat an eye when we said all of this. She did not seem shocked at all. She did not even offer to move us rooms (she said they were completely booked), but there was rooms still available online. This makes me think that she knew that if she moved us, we would still be unhappy since the entire hotel is dirty. I will say that she did immediately offer us a full refund and the ability to check out, which was a fair solution. We ended up staying in the Comfort Suites hotel just down the road, which was ten times better. I would recommend the Comfort Suites if you need to stay in Olive Branch, NOT the Hampton Inn.

Outdated crushed velvet sofa, hard bed, hole in shower ceiling, had to ask for light bulb for lamp, loud as most hotels are , awful breakfast including chewy dry biscuits, turkey sausage links cut up, ended up tossing it all and eating cereal. Lady at front desk super nice. Over priced for sure. Tucked behind shopping center.

Travel Ball Teams Stay Away! We rented 12 rooms, and two families had to switch rooms twice because of nasty rooms and one of them a third time. We did not play till 330 pm on Sunday and the owner flatly refused a late check-out at noon. I told him I was a gold member and travel all over the US and Canada and have never been denied another hour, he just said yea. I told him it was ridiculous.

Service was horrible. Front desk was not helpful. No business center located at this location. Room itself was uncomfortable and not very relaxing. Hotel was loud and disturbing. Water temperature in shower was luke warm. Asked for a late check-out of 1 hour and was told this wasn't allowed.

Fantastic customer service that began with Melody at the front desk. Ashrum was very attentive to details and was always wanting to meet our needs. Housekeeping was available every day when needed. It’s a great location near lots of restaurants.

I used my HHonors points to make a reservation at this property for two nights. The room was on the second floor. It was a decent size room with all the standard amenities. There was also free breakfast in the morning. However, given the location, the room was dark, the carpet looked dirty and felt sticky in places. Also, it looked like the hotel was reusing bedsheets. They looked like they had been slept in and weren't fresh sheets. Due to a change in my travel plans, I had to cut my stay by a day. When I informed the front desk about it, they told me that I wouldn't get back any points credit and that I would be charged points for two nights. A group of friends that I was traveling with was paying by card for their room and they were only charged for one night when they changed their travel plans. The front desk simply told me the policy was different for HHonors members. What is the point of being loyal to the hotel chain when non-members get more flexibility than members? I wouldn't come back to this property and I certainly don't think HHonors has any value.

Many areas of the room need attention. The carpet, sofa and flooring were very soiled. Be careful using the refrigerator, I put fruit and protein bars inside and they froze. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was soft.
