I have recently stayed here and found that the service here was excellent. I had made a telephone booking a few weeks before, as there was a glitch in the online booking process (now resolved). The booking was easily made by telephoning the hotel reception, without requiring any advance payment. I am fairly sure it was the same friendly receptionist who checked us in when our party of three arrived and whom we spoke to every day. The hotel is not part of a chain, as far as I know and has a good personal touch. The serving staff are very attentive and the manager is a visible presence. The lobby creates a very good first impression as it it is a spacious relaxing area, with Chesterfield furniture. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and in a good state of repair. All rooms have balconies from which there is a good fjord view. Good beds. There is also a good view from the dining room of the fjord, as it has a corner position and has continuous glass walls on both sides. It is a nice place to eat breakfast and the buffet dinner. I give the food 4/5, service 5/5 and room 5/5.
