Walked in about 1230 pm place was quiet. Had carvery it was cold plates cold meat frozen potatoes and aunt Bessie's Yorkshire puds . It was £3.49 for extra slice of meat shan't be going back tables were sticky and dirty . Nice pub shame it hasn't got a decent cook

Great friendly, family run pub, nice warm friendly welcome, lots of space and pool table lots of outdoor space. lovely fire place that we sat next too, for a couple of drinks very cosy, great variety of alcoholic drinks.. We had a Sunday roast it was very nice good choice of meats and vegetables the roast potatoes were delicious very reasonable priced too, would definitely recommend trying this pub out for a nice place to go

We had a lovely meal in this pub. We were staying in one of the holiday lodges behind the pub which was amazing. Having the pub right there meant we didn’t have to drive out to Okehampton. Met the owners of the park and the cabins and they were really nice too. The bar staff were really friendly and even allowed us to borrow a few champagne glasses to take back to our lodge to celebrate a friend’s birthday, Thank you - we will be back :)

There were alot of options in regards to which Roast including a vegetarian option. We booked a table for 1:30 pm and we also told them we had our dog so they could seat us accordingly. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly

Brilliant find! Although the new owners have only been here a few months they certainly seem to have started off as they mean to go on. Food is outstanding and such value for money. Staff were accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Really great family run place. We’ll be back 💯

Visited Betty Cottles with my friend and my dog for a pub lunch after a long walk around Meldon. We sat in the Garden which was very nice, plenty of room between the tables and a play area for children. I believe its also dog friendly indoors outside of the restaurant room. Lunch was fantastic, good pricing, well sized portions and really tasty. I heard mixed reviews of this pub previously but from what I understand, it is now under new management. Would recommend a visit
