Sandals Barbados All Inclusive - Couples Only

I am writing about our recent 7 day trip to Barbados. It was the worst Sandals resort in 7 years of traveling. Arrival: First time our luggage didn't travel to the resort with us. One of our bags was tagged with the wrong room-thankfully my husband noticed before it became lost. Our room wasn't ready and we arrived after 1500 check in (our room has never been ready except with a butler). No idea why because at check out, the resorts can't kick us out fast enough. Even with the delay, our luggage just sat in the lobby until we decided to take it to our room. Only then, did someone offer to help. Daily: Activities-forget it! The app isn't correct, the daily board isn't correct, the printed sheet at Club Sandals isn't correct. The pool names for the same pools change daily. Why? Because there are no activities to be had. One day consisted of watching staff twerk for 15 minutes at the pool. The night activities were half ass, if they even happened like scheduled. One night the singer came out screaming and we had to leave. My husband is hard of hearing and it hurt his ears. Can you imagine mine with my sensitive hearing? When we would ask the staff about anything, they didn't know when or where activities where supposed to be. Some told us they were understaffed as to why things didn't happen; we also heard because of the festival, people don't work during those days. My husband was told to go book island excursions if we wanted something to do or wait until 2100-2200. Seriously? We just spend a lot of money to vacation and we are being told to spend more??!! Not to mention, we go to bed by 2100. Staff asked why-because that's our working schedules and why change for just a week. Why can't the pool volleyball net be up during the day? Even when pool volleyball is scheduled, the net never goes up. How about some music that people actually listen to? For all that we did, I could have saved thousands of dollars and did it at home or went to a different resort and had a way better time. Staff: Most of the bartenders will look you straight in the eye and walk away (except for Larken who was amazing). The same drink was never made the same twice. It was a gamble what it would be. Some of the staff are friendly, most act like working is an inconvenience. I was even told by one she wishes she could find another job because the resort is miserable to work for. My husband paid for the elite diver but the charge never showed on the bill. It will be interesting to see if he ever receives it. He has the receipt. We did book another trip to Ochi (knowing they have things to actually do) and after we received quotes to book a trip. Later in the week, someone from loyalty called after we were asleep to ask about booking a trip. One-don't call so late and two-how about checking to see if we already had. I celebrated my 50th birthday while there and I received more acknowledgement from other guests than staff. Every other resort will leave a small treat in the roo

I was recently there as I was a Bridesmaid in the Irving Family wedding. The bride paid to have our makeup completed there at the resort. I hate that I must report that I do not recommend. The makeup artist that was assigned to me, was very unprofessional and had an attitude as she was being very ruff when putting the makeup on to include I noticed not one time did either of the two artist clean ANY of the brushes or eyeliner ect. They were very unsanitary. Thank god I brought my own products with me, however my friend one of the other bridesmaid did not and eye swole up the day after due to the unsanitary items used. The women on the resort just being angry seemed to be a going trend except for the young lady working the excursion desk. She was dark skinned and slender. I unfortunately didn't get her name but she was amazing. I understand that this is possibly a cultural thing but this is sad. When attending a sandals resort, you don't expect to be greeted with anger by women that you look like. I'm not sure this is a place that I would return to. And I didn't even mention that I too am a Sandals Agent.

I have travelled and stayed at many hotels and this one has been the best by far. Lovely staff. Great cocktails and superb food I’d highly recommend !

My wife and I had a blast at Sandals Barbados. Got to meet some new friends, ate some awesome food, celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. So many special parts of our trip. We booked Captain Larry for two days. We explored the entire island with OG. We went to the oldest synogogue in the western hemisphere, then to a Mount *** Rum tour, then to St. Nicholas Abbey Heritage Great House, Rum Distillery and train ride around the plantation, and finally OG drove us to the Flower Forest just before they closed. We learned a ton of history over the two days. Day 1 we did his regular tour and fed the monkeys. The highlight was snorkeling with the turtles. The water was so clear at Carlise Bay. We also experienced the last day of the Crop Over festival. Big party, lots of costumes and music. As far as the resort, It was very green and beautiful. We were on the Club level. We ate at almost every restaurant. They were all great. We had ice cream every night at Cafe de Paris. Yummy! We relaxed at the beach and pool. I enjoyed my Bob Marley and Blue Hawaiian frozen drinks. I even asked the bartenders to make me other drinks based on my preferences. They all were talented mixologists. The water wasn’t the best but we understand that it’s not the resort’s fault. The resort felt more relaxed than our previous trips to St. Lucia. This includes the entertainment. I really enjoyed Peach Bless’ performances. Bowling at Lovers Lane was fun. Also their table arcade games. We were told that Sandals Barbados was at 60% capacity. We went to our first loyalty dinner, ate Surf and Turf with the GM and mingled with other travellers. There were so many employees that truly made a difference. From Amanda our housekeeper to Ramona our photographer to every wait staff that ensured we enjoyed our meal, along with just passing employees as we walked the resort, each person greeted us with a smile and asked about our day! We even enjoyed our time with the artist Robert Babb and are taking home a part of the island with us. When Sandals Barbados says, “Welcome Home”, they truly mean It!!

Drinks at the courtyard bar with George and Reynaldo are yummy ! 🥂 Had the pina coladas and great service. Good place to hang out when waiting for dinner.

I stayed here last year and it is beautiful. I had a massage, fine not the greatest especially compared to when recently i booked a massage with hotel le roy Blank Canvas The Spa. Not only is she considered the best on the island but the price is reasonable. The quality of treatment care and knowledge is wow. Can sandals do better or encourage training? I will have to return to blank canvas the spa if i ever go back here. I expect a higher level of massaging for a place like this
