Sandals Royal Barbados All Inclusive - Couples Only

I feel compelled to write a review as before we came here the negative reviews did put us off a bit. My husband and I were here for 10 days celebrating our honeymoon and had the best time ever! We had a swim up room which was amazing, the resort was clean and tidy and the food was plentiful and delicious! The staff were all lovely and friendly (so I’m unsure where all the negative reviews have came from!) and we never had to wait too long for service, you’re on holiday after all what’s the rush!! The only negative I can think of is that you do have to play the sun-bed game in the mornings or there would be no where to sit by the pools as by 7am all the beds would be taken, I do think Sandals need to enforce a better system as it is a shame as late risers we could never sit by the pool, but as we had a swim up room and prefer the beach anyway this didn’t bother us much. Overall don’t let the reviews put you off, we had a lovely time, good food, loads to do, lovely people and we are so glad went for our honeymoon!!

This was our fifth trip to Sandals. We had put off coming to Royal Barbados because of some of the negative early reviews. Now that we’ve wrapped up our holiday, I’m pleased to say that we had a wonderful experience. Our room was the nicest & newest one we’ve stayed at in any Sandals, which made things feel luxurious right away. The property is beautiful, and the seamless connection between the “two” resorts means you’re really enjoying yourself at one large one. I think the food has gotten better at Sandals overall since we started going in 2019. Bombay and Chi were huge standouts, but everything was good. Our butlers, Shakira, Donald, and Da-Quan went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, including doing little extra things like leaving us snacks in the room or bringing our favorite cocktails to the beach. The only thing that wasn’t quite up to par was housekeeping. The staff skipped cleaning our room one day and skipped the turndown service another day, even though we had the little “light” on requesting cleaning. Mugs were never replaced despite my asking. But those were tiny details that did not detract from a great holiday. We’ll look forward to coming back!

Has to be the best holiday we have ever been on, worth every penny that we spent to get there. 10 days of pure relaxation with fabulous drinks, food and staff. The room, the pool area, the restaurants everything type of food you could want at an All Inclusive. Our favourite places to eat were Neptunes and Butches. We have already booked to return March 2027. Amazing!

First, we are sandals Emerald members and have stayed at many sandals for over 20 years. This brand is almost unrecognizable from what it was years ago. Upon arrival we were taken to the club lounge, which is standard procedure. After waiting for a while. They finally took us to the room however, when we got to our room, someone else had already moved in so we had to walk all the way back down to the club lounge and sit there for another 15 minutes while they tried to figure outwhere our room was going to be. It was a big hassle after an exhausting day of travel and completely unacceptable. If you desire to watch any television while you’re in your room getting ready for the day good luck because there’s no way to know what channels are because there’s no channel guide it is just numbers and they have no fix for this even a freaking motel six can figure this out Zero recognition of our anniversary, even though Sandals was made aware of it months and months ahead of time and we told our housekeeper and she said she would be doing something special to no avail. Why even bother to ask what you’re celebrating on the website and app if you’re not going to recognize it. We still have a few days, but I have almost entirely given up on this brand

Just returned from a wonderful 10 days at Royal Sandals. Super-friendly staff, great facilities and an array of restaurants to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel for those looking to sit back, relax and enjoy the warmth of true Caribbean hospitality!

WOW - just back from first trip to Sandals Royal Barbados. Loved everything about it - resort, food, accommodation, entertainment, staff all 5*. Stayed in St Lawrence Building - lovely room very quiet. Whole place is spotless. Shout out to Tashon in the Oyster Bar best Espresso Martinis !!
