HOTEL MIZO

Ligging Mizo is prachtig, niet druk ook niet in het hoogseizoen waarin wij waren., supermarktje is tegenover mizo. 3 kmr app groot was op de 1 etage, Er stond niet zoals in de beschrijving een tweepersoons bed in een kamer. Maar beide kamers met 3 losse bedden. het was ruim genoeg ,de kleinere appartement hebben grotendeels beter uitzicht op het meer, deze appartementen niet. Appartement saai betreft inrichting. Niets aan de muur. Bedden waren goed, schoonmaak ook voldoende. Ontbijt viel ons mee, behalve de koffie, die is ronduit smerig. Ohrid is een mooi stadje, auto huren en erop uit is ook aan te raden.

Appartement was goed, bedden goed. Bij het zwembad waren veel ligbedden kapot en bijna geen parasols. Het ontbijt was simpel maar prima. Het avondeten was op zich goed maar geen groenten en weinig keuze. Personeel was gewoon aardig. Wel veel rotzooi overal met kapotte spullen die her en der over het terrein verspreid lagen. Aanrader is de jeepsafari!

It is difficult to rate the experience as I actually had a good week in North Macedonia and my experience was actually good. The hotel was hit and miss and with the right management it can be improved. First of all it is the first lake holiday I have ever had and I did like the lake. It was beautiful and the hotel was right next to it. I was given a room with a lake view which was really good. The evening meal was served in the restaurant with a spectacular view. I did like the food which I had to choose on a daily basis out of two options available. However, I hated the actual room which looked cheap with very cheap furniture and very old bedding which I didn't like at all. I also didn't like the fact that the bathroom was never cleaned. The sink looked absolutely filthy. It is so so easy to buy the bleach in bulk to dilute it and use it daily. It won't cost lots of money and it would be a good opportunity to keep it clean. The hotel hosted lots of children who came there for some football tournament and who were banging the doors non stop. It was really irritating and I did feel like going and complaining every evening but I never did. ) TUI provides a free excursion in Orhid and I do recommend it to everyone who comes in Ohrid as you will the things you might not discover yourself. I also took a TUI trip to Albania which was around 40 pounds including really nice lunch and was a quick introduction to another country though the actual trip can or should be improved. I will probably go to North Macedonia again but I would like to try a different hotel. The only reason I chose this hotel was because I could walk into town in the first place. But the cleanliness is the basics which needs to be put right, please.
