This is very small botique hotel, didn't look impressive front the entrance outside hotel. The moment we went in, it is really cozy & we were greeted by very warming in house manager & booked dinner table as well. We enjoyed their breakfast and as well as dinner, very good quality. Our concern is this hotel doesn't have lift.

Excellent. A brilliant, beautiful and extremely well run hotel. Everything is very clean, the beds are very comfortable and the food was brilliant (we didn't even try other places because it was so nice!) The staff are extremely friendly and kind. The manager (I think her name is Sara) couldhave been more helpful and welcoming to my friends and I. I hope to visit Oban again soon and I will be trying to stay here again if I can.

Perfect in every way. With the price point that makes you expect that perfection. Ok there are some minor issues: Limited parking (this is the biggest negative). No tissues in the otherwise exceptionally appointed room No wash clothes, but that is the norm in Europe No lift. And there are three stories in this building so that could be an issue for some. The staff graciously helped me carry some of my luggage up the stairs. But really this is a special hotel and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The entire property was redone 3 years ago and it is a great mix of old flavor (I’m guessing the mansion is at least 250 years old but that is a guess) with modern touches. View from my window is awesome. And there is both heating and Air Conditioning! They even found me extra cords for my phone so I didn’t wake up to a dead mobile battery.

Our stay at No17 was wonderful! Upon our late afternoon arrival we had hoped for dinner at Porcini, but it required a reservation. Sarah, the hotel manager, went out of her way at peak dinner time to find us a reservation at a wonderful nearby restaurant, Cuan Mor. She then booked a reservation for us at Porcini for the following night. We ran into Sarah on our city walk the next day and she was so kind and generous with local recommendations for our day. The rest of the staff and the accommodations at No17 were also wonderful! Highly recommend! Great value as well.

Absolutely fabulous stay. No17 The Promenade is a true boutique hotel. They know their guests; thoughtful and unique designs; luxury touches throughout; an included breakfast and welcome drink; friendly, competent, and helpful staff; overall, we just felt very at home and in good hands from the beginning. Both my boyfriend and I lamented that we had only booked one night here! We wanted to stay another night, the hotel was that great. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to my clients, and I will stay here again if I am ever back in Oban!

We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely hotel. It was far enough away from the center of Oban to be quiet and peaceful, but close enough to walk to any number of restaurants and shops, as well as the ferry to visit Mull and Iona. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the restaurant was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and professional

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Rooms size of postage stamps, staff doesn’t communicate about issues. Asked FIVE TIMES for heating rack to be fixed as we needed to wash out and dry things. Room not cleaned. Asked FIVE times for clean towels. No outlets in bathrooms. Bathrooms have faucets that run hot one side and cold the other, so hard to wash your face, etc. without burning yourself.
